I need to live in Canada! I live in the French Alpes but we don't get as good snow as you do! Maybe only a few days in total of the winter. :(
@MineStudio6810 жыл бұрын
hahaha i just did exactly what you said the other way around! I lived in Canada and i just moved near the french alps, and you really should not whine about it, there is some great freeriding terrain around here! don't imagine its always days of blower pow in canada!

Beautiful! All about skiing :) PS. Are there any specific release dates for all of the videos? Its kind of an epic disappointment to be 2 weeks late for a video.

the acting in the beginning is terrible haha. But the fantastic skiing and powder makes up for it. :)

This just makes us east coast doomed-to-groomers non experts feel bad. Looks like phenomenal skiing if you are a phenomenal skier - most aren't.
@WheatonBrad10 жыл бұрын
Timothy, If you can ski the East, you can ski at CMH! Maybe not Monashees for the first trip (They won't let you, anyway.), but you can do it if you want.

Brad Kunhardt Love to but I haven't had enough fresh deep powder days to get the hang of how to ski it. I do fine like a day or two after a snowstorm after everything's been groomed. It sucks too because I'd like to go to that next level...if not skiing trees than at least skiing wide open bowls on powder days out west...but I can't get the experience as a primarily northeast weekend skier...skiing 16 to 18 days a year.
@MineStudio689 жыл бұрын
+Timothy Dannenhoffer Haha, that can seem true, but really. you can have phenomenal amounts of fun without phenomenal skiing areas. I used to live in the east too, and let me say that after searching for a bit , you'll find good places to make your first fresh tracks. and it doesnt take long to get used to pow when you've skiied before (trust me). What you will need is a pair of relatively large skis with touring fixations, or, not even that, just snowshoes and fix your skis to your backback, and with a buddy you can go explore the backcoutry! (i used to do just that). now go try these places: stowe, over the treeline, you can find powder for more than a week after the snowfall if there isnt too much wind. Jay peak: between tuckerman's chute and face chutes, there is two couloirs that are never skiied, and are awesome since the trees protects the pow. you access them by going skiers right at rightmost entrance of tuckermans. Then there is tuckermans ravine at mount washington, but there is a lot more to explore on mount washington. you can also try crawford notch (i would recomend getting a local with you for that one though). go see ski the east channel on youtube for inspiration!

really? thats kind of lame. most heliski companies just warn you that the runs are not groomed and you have to be able to handle that. they pretty much take any paying customer out with them, because once you are locked into a trip the money is theirs. if you are unfit or unable to ski the runs and are already out in the heli you dont get a refund
