Sorry for the delay here… Absolutely. The most commonly used is the AlienGear Shape Shifter shell. Here is the link : aliengearholsters.com/holster-shell-for-shapeshift.html.html It does not matter draw hand for our mount.

Was removing the thumb actuator necessary or just preference?

Depending upon the laws in the state you are in would determine this, but preference for the user if allowed

But where would my knee go? It usually is laying up on the 4wd shifter. Might have to get this to mount my 226 on the opposite side though.

Actually, the mount can hold a lot more than holsters. For me it’ll hold a ball mount which will in turn hold my GRMS mic. For all the Jeep Wrangler's customizability, it's dash doesn’t give many options, so accessories like these are fantastic. 😊
