Something this great should have never gone "out of style". It's almost a crime that Isn't being done in clubs anymore. There aren't any good clubs anymore period . Society has severely gone downhill. Going out to overcrowded nightclubs in 1990 being 21 years old, djs playing this all night. There actually was good looking women around back then too!

Just preference. It’s considered “Hamster Style” and the cross fader switched Most mixers allow for this option. Or you can switch the turntable inputs on the mixer as well.

Yes, opposite the turntable playing. Newer mixers have the capabilities of assigning the cross fader to any channel to either side of the mixer. I started with an old Numark back in 88. This would be difficult for me to do because of muscle memory. You rocked it DJ 2Fresh. Still wondering how you keep your records from scratching each other while grabbing and putting them away.

Before hamster switches were introduced, they used to just plug a turntable into the opposite channel. This man's crew mate is the one who coined the technique as hamster style because of his crew, bullet proof scratch hamsters.
