Not so mention I'm pretty sure 99% of the people posting that crap don't know that Uncle Kracker's version was itself a cover, but he never gets criticized. Dobie Grey's version which made it famous was a cover. The original was by Mike Berry was back in 1972. The song was written by Mentor Williams, who received a songwriting credit for this song. This song has been covered many times. People are just idiots and don't seem to comprehend what a cover version is.

Maybe it's been said, but I can't read all the comments... love the reinterpretation, bet the originals, and dozens of covers will see a nice uptick in hits, I mean streams. My only critique, and it's for this version of the song only, is that I was expecting Ms. Merlo to have a slightly bigger part... it says "featuring" Madeline... but she was barely hearable for most of it, and give her a couple lines, well, words, all to herself? Love ya Mr. Lynch but, c'mon... as Supertramp said... Give A Little Bit... more to the artists who are so gracious as to join you with this fun remake.✌🏼🇨🇦
