The line is slated to be torn up next year when the street is widened. Get you photos and videos now.

Yes, that was Mark the conductor, nice guy. He kept of informed of when they were going, even gave us directions to the "kitty litter".

They have a pushbutton that controls the stoplights which allows them to pass. You will see the crew mmeber walk over to it to push it.

I looked around and settled for the Panasonic SD 20 full 1920 X 1080. Takes great video even in low light, good battery life too. Should be able to pick one up for less that $500

The line is reaaly not used much anymore, about 4-6 cars a week and that trafiic does not justify the cost. Also if you notice there is no sidewalk on that side with makes walking difficult with some people using the road. Like most lines torn up, if you don't use it, you loose it.
@CintiRailFan13 жыл бұрын
That is so cool! Are both customers on this branch still using the railroad?
@railpast14 жыл бұрын
Still would have been ok, speed is max 10 and 5 at all crossings so lots of time to stop. Notice the person make a left hand turn right in front of the train even though they had started to move.
@synthfreakify13 жыл бұрын
Is this line part of the old Lake Erie & Northern? Those tight curves and street running look like an electric line to me. The only thing that doesn't fit is a CN engine, because LE&N was owned by CP. I don't know Brantford very well, does this track line up with the "S. C. Johnson trail"?
@JacobJNelson12 жыл бұрын
So do the crews have to obey the stoplights like the cars do, or does the crew just hop out and walk the train across when able?

History of rails.First come the rails and then the towns populate because of the increased opportunities. Soon the familiarity brings contempt, which forces the rails to move further away from the urban centers, creating suburbs.The cycles continue ad nauseauum. Same is for Air terminals that locate away from cities. The population soon follows and then complain about the noise.
