I can't believe how complicated it is to do the breakaways. For someone who is a little rusty, you did great. Each time you will get better and better. There's always a next time! Thanks for trying to explain it all. It's going to take forever to sink in, but I'll get it eventually.
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
Yes simple yet very complicated! I am happy this video could help a bit so you can understand what is going on. Thank you for supporting and coming along to the jackpot ☺️☺️

You did a very good job of explaining breakaway. One other thing that keeps everyone on an even playing field is the length of there rope. When my daughter was roping it was 28 feet. I don't know if it has changed or not. Good job and merry Christmas
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Terry! I love the feedback! and yes you are right, I forgot about rope length. Thanks for bringing that up ☺️ (to my understanding there is no current rule about the length of your rope, you can cut it as short as you want, but a shorter rope might mean missing the calf completely). I will need to look into that more! Have a Merry Christmas 🎄

You did a good job of explaining breakaway. One thing you did miss is that everyone uses the same length of rope. When my daughter was roping breakaway the rope was 28 feet long. I don't know that it has changed. Thats another thing to keep everyone on an even playing field. Have a good night and merry Christmas

That was so informative. I didn't know the exact protocol, just guessed at it, but your explanation cleared it all up. Thanks so much Amry. Your horses looked like they loved it; both of them were so intent waiting for the release and really tried so hard for you...gotta love them for that.

Thanks Amry! Firstly, your GoPro is impressively stable, so we got a very good view from the saddle perspective. Secondly, I couldn't help but notice Shorty and Bumble Bee have very different MO's which I find fascinating and I just love your perspective on entering the Jackpots, reaping the experience for both you and your two amazing horses! Thank you so much for your attention to detail and love of the sport, I'm looking forward to more! 🐎🐴

So cool! That is a lot to think about before you even start moving on your horse. I'd probably start too soon all the time. 🤣 Break away is fairly complex, or at least to me it is. Great rundown on what it entails. Thanks! I LOVE watching both angles of you roping, the GoPro and the wide angle. You better get home or you'll miss Santa. 😉💚🎄🎁💚

Hi again AMRY Spot on explanation! Add instructor to your growing resume! Nice catches even though times long but you'll get there no worries. Horses did great. Surely can tell Shorty knows and likes his job but he is more experienced. BB will get there in time. Really fun watching you in action doing something you really enjoy. Filming went great! Thx as always for sharing. Will be great fun watching as you get speedy! Catcha next time...

Well explained. Do not be afraid to push the barrier, lot's of times +10 will still keep ya in the average. Pushing the barrier means you and your horse are competitive, you mean business. Love the channel and your compassion. Paul from Alberta Canada.

Hey B here…we’ll I do declare, this is an outstanding video regards breakaway‼️ I believe the breakaway governing body, if there is such, could use your video to introduce new ropers to breakaway and how to jackpot, it’s that GOOD. Ya caught all 4, I reckon the short go came down to the beef you drew. Pretty good practice for the header side of ya for roping muleleys. Still a legal catch on steers with a rack. Don’t risk it, rope the brisket “😜 I can’t wait for your team roping tutorial. Heck, we can’t wait for your new videos period!
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
Hi B!! Thank you so so much ☺️ You are so kind! I appreciate it ☺️ Can't wait to take you along the next breakaway jackpot! I have been roping brisket on my steers a lot lately... I guess it is from all the breakaway practice. But like you said it is still legal 🤣 Prepping for the team roping explanation! ☺️🙌

I LOVED this! The explanation, AND the events. What's an example of an average time for a breakaway?
@cnahorses2 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! I appreciate it ☺️ Times depend on the score (or how much head start the calves get). If it is a short score you will see times of 2 - 3 seconds winning ... if the score is longer the times will be 4-5 seconds. ☺️
