Truth is the vast majority of innocent people of Myanmar have suffered for way too long, through no fault of their own way back from centuries-long Anglo British Colonialism, followed by decades-long Anglo Western sanctions. Peace and prosperity to long suffering Myanmar people!

@@ms.gregoria2249 The vast majority of good nature people of Myanmar, though still poor compared to the rest of Asia, are devout Buddhist and have a high treasured regard for their culture and tradition. With the opening of their country to the outside world, Myanmar risks the onslaught of negative unwanted foreign cultures; that it needs to shield and protect itself from, so as to keep much treasured and highly regarded Myanmar tradition, culture and religion.

@@thykingdomcome7238 "Anglos caused most of the world's problems" - David Cameron, former British Prime Minister Let me rephrase it, if I may; "Anglos caused most of the world's problems, including a heck of a hell lot in Burma/Myanmar". - first under the long and painful Anglo British Colonial era; - secondly, boycotted and blacklisted by Anglo West, as an impoverished nation turned to Socialism for relief after Colonialism. Myanmar has a sad saying that goes "A poor young girl got raped and got hurt twice", referring to their nation's double tragedies. 🤔

@@mrsalwaysright6478 Myanmar would have been much better off without Colonialism. For instance, there's hardly any Muslim, Hindu or Christian in Myanmar up until Colonialism. I supposed it's fair to say that many of these tragedies of Myanmar facing today, such as racial ethnic and religious conflicts, started with Colonialism.

It a very sad and heartbreaking situation and I do not want to write anything to add to your suffering. However I stand by my earlier statement about the majority behaviour of Myanmar people over the Rohingya issue. The passage from the acceptance of that atrocity to the present is unmistakable. The suffering of the innocent is always a tragedy.

@@wizardfate3833 I understand iyour point, but it is still irrelevant. This is a time that Myanmar nationals need to look to themselves first of all to understand this tragedy in its entirety. My mom decided to go to another country because of the covid cases and military coup, andlong with my little sister, grandma and me. I really miss my friends, relatives and my bf. They all all in Myanmar. I really miss them. I hope the situations ends soon and I'm really proud of everyone there who are staying strong. I am unable to do anything to support because I'm still a kid, the only thing I can do is to pray this all ends and it goes back to the way it was. My mom just tells me to forget whatever is happening there because I'm not there anymore, but I was born there, raised there, spend most of my life there so I can't easily just forget.

I grew up in Mae Hong Son, near the border of Myanmar and they are a kind-hearted people. Not once had we ever had any problems with them. No thieft nor violent crimes ever happened that I personally has the knowledge of. We may had been enemies throughout our long history yet one can never deny the simple fact that we are people of identical suffering, pain, hopes, and dreams. Fences may separate us, yet our hearts are of same flesh and blood. They were more than just people who once crossed our borders, they were friends and brothers and sisters of us. I am physically removed from that place now. Mountains, plains, rivers, and thousands of miles away. Yet my prayers contain them. May they find the peace that their people deserves.

According to Irrawaddy reporting: "last month more than 740 junta soldiers were killed and almost 370 wounded during 355 shootouts, assassinations and bomb attacks involving ethnic armed forces and the civilian People’s Defense Forces across Myanmar, according to the parallel civilian National Unity Government. On Thursday morning, around 25 soldiers based in Dawei Township, Tanintharyi Region, abandoned their posts with their firearms, according to the Intelligence Agency in Tanintharyi, which was formed by soldiers who have joined the civil disobedience movement. @@samthu6572 Don't know what your claim of Russia's fading power is based upon. There is too much secrecy around Russia's power to be able to know exactly what capacity it has, and the same counts for China. On the outside things may look good in China, but it's a mess at the level of their inner circle of power.

CNA is singing the tunes of western MSM. This should be taken care by ASEAN members first. NOT "international community" which is mostly western countries. ASEAN is like a herd of kettles, when a one of them is being attacked by a wolf, the rest just watch or continue chewing the grass. While this is happening, CNA is calling out to "international community" Which is mostly western countries pretending to be humanitarian compatriots, it's like inviting more wolves into the den. These countries have not a single shining example of success to show the world, other than touching photos of white humanitarian aid handing bottles of clean water to disaster victims. Forget about "international community", prove to the world we are self sufficient. Singapore should take lead in getting rid of foreign interference in the region.

@Alix US has only the perverted version of democracy and It pretends to be a humanitarian compatriot. To date, the US does NOT have a single shining example of success to show the world. EVERY country it pretends to help ended up in chaos, destruction, poverty and corruption. The US is now suffering from failing healthcare, crumbling infrastructure, raising crime and police brutality, homelessness AND abandoned homes, opiate crisis etc. While these issues are running rampant at home, it has the audacity to send troop thounds of miles away to within doorsteps of China and Russia to make gangster like provocation. The US is addicted to war, with failing economy, petro dollar and incessant money printing, it will soon spiral into hyper inflation. The US is the biggest terrorist organisation on the world. Don't ever believe it listen to them.

The return of democracy against military rule in Myanmar very much depends on the anti-junta coup Burmese themselves. No help will come from other nations as there are more pressing geopolitical issues happening elsewhere that is now the top priority in focus. Situation in Myanmar now is very volatile. It’ll be a long drawn battle against dictatorship and tyranny. Casualties and deaths are inevitable on both sides of the camps. This is not the first war the world is witnessing and it certainly will not be the last. It’s a battle of endurance and perseverance. It’s a battle of wits and strategy. Myanmar will remain in turmoil and calamity for a long time. They have to learn to help themselves. ASEAN isn’t going to do more. ASEAN is about accelerating economic growth, social progress and cultural development in the region (business). ASEAN has nothing to gain from intervention into their neighbours domestic problems. The people of Myanmar have to join forces with the uprising ethic rebel alliances in order to stand a better chance in turning the table around. May the force be with them..🙏

That former secretary-general of ASEAN & some analysts in this report understand well situation in Myanmar & what ASEAN is about. Myanmar entered ASEAN in 1997, during military dictatorship. During 2016-2020, NLD was too greedy, trying to swallow other anti-military & ethnic-based political groups instead of forging alliances/coalitions with them in respectable & mutually beneficial manner. NLD even failed to reach some kind of deal with military. By late November 2020, Myanmar was already a political disaster, although it wasn't visible to the general public. Even now, anti-junta groups lack unity. Citizens of Myanmar really need to learn compromise.

Too far off and no resources of interest. It's all China I'm afraid. The CCP is the only ruling power that has significant dealings with the Tatmadaw.
