Want to limit car ownership in singapore to reduce carbon emissions? 1)households of less than 8 allowed only ONE car 2)all private vehicle purchases can only be paid in full by cash (no loans, financing,installments etc) 3)all substantial vehicle payments in cash will be subjected to IRAS investigation to ensure proper taxes are made and to shed light on any criminal activities. These plus our COE will probably bring car ownership down and bring carbon emissions down

It's the city design. Check out channels like Not Just Bikes. Singapore like many cities is designed for cars not pedestrians. European cities are much better. Road design and cycling infrastructure makes a lot of difference

@@freemanol yea thats why i think we should nudge down car ownership 1st through the suggestions given. Singapore is a small country, with less cars we would have more space to better design the city infrastructure to suit pedestrians, cyclists and make public transport more efficient.
