Not the farmers the farmers bosses. How many independent farms do you think remain in the US? A small farmer cannot compete with the industrial farms that have 50,000 birds per barn with 10 barns on 10 acres. Those little farm houses next to those barns are usually the employees/farm manager. Usually the farm managers family is the majority of the labor except when it comes to transporting.

The stock market can appear as a bewildering cauldron of fake news for new investors. I would advise using a CFP, giving him/her 2/3, and then investing the 1/3 on your own, but only if you have time to track stocks and educate yourself.

This was about as corny as it gets. Small scale farmers are gone. When avian flu gets into a high-volume chicken facility it is devastating. I love eggs and when the price is right, I eat around 36 a week. When they are high like they are now I eat none. The only way the consumer can bring prices down on anything is to stop using it until the price drops. I'm doing fine without them but I anxiously await the price drop so I can start eating them.
