No They won't. The Gov't is like a Fish that consumes everything in its path. 36 Trillion going to 40 Trillion in one year is a guarantee for Financial Ruin to this Country. The interest payments alone will be 1.5 trillion when it hits that mark. The Country will go into a French Revolution if we continue down this path. So DOGE with 2 the smartest people on the Planet will Cut Govt waste that PRODUCES NOTHING. That is how you save an economy. Study Argentina in What Milei has accomplished in 1 year. Pain comes with it but if nothing is done. DEATH will most assuredly come with it.

What's crazy is that even Trump should understand this: after his china tariffs he funneled tens of billions to farmers, above what they usually get, to keep them on life support. That could just as easily be classified as "pork barrel spending" as anything else. Letting the agriculture sector go into recession was undesirable, so he used gov't spending to fix the problem. I don't even like it myself because that kind of spending is maintaining operations rather than expanding productivity with capital investment (that's why biden's spending was better), but here we are I guess ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rather than sweeping tariffs he should think big like China and help American industry grow strategically just like with Biden's Chips and inflation reduction act etc. Choose the areas in which you want to compete strategically or those areas you need to protect for security - simples. Since Trump came to power in 2017 his tax cuts so far have probably cost around 4.5 trillion dollars with a further 4.5 trillion dollars in this term as well. Borrowing money to fund tax cuts is just building up a problem for the future; disproportionately enricing the few at the cost of the many. This simply gets the national debt to grow baby grow.

Actually I would argue that CNBC stock analysis are usually more friendly to the usual GOP tax cut policies (the trickle down economy, trickling the middle class money into shareholders pockets. But not only have 24 Nobel Prize winners in economy, and essentially the full collective of macroeconomic expert, presented scientific deduction that Trump’s policies will be destructive to the economy, but even bullish actors on the market are talking about a stock bubble, including a $ bubble. When the latter sooner or later burst, there will be inflation. Then we have usually resonable precarious market analysts even talking about a 50% drop and a 20 year period to grow back the economy if Trump executes his “these policies caused the great depression” concept of policies. So I think these analyses are actually on the more positive side. But let’s hope they are all wrong, and that Trump actually succeeds in progressing the economy for the average person, or at least not havocs it completely. Merry Christmas

THIS----Ten of the eleven U.S. recessions between 1953 and 2020 began under Republican presidents. Of these, the most statistically significant differences are in real GDP growth, unemployment rate change, stock market annual return, and job creation rate (see #Statistics). During Donald Trump's presidency, the unemployment rate reached 14.7%, the highest since the Great Depression. The U.S. GDP contracted by 31.4%, the highest since 1946. The inflation rate rose by 7.75%, and the poverty rate climbed by 1.76%. Immigration surged by 14.7%, while the U.S. national debt expanded by 40.43%. The trade deficit grew to $679 billion.

With Trump now in power, he is likely to implement tax cuts, deregulation, and reduce unnecessary spending, potentially through DOGE. Additionally, he is expected to introduce selective tariffs on countries with which the US has significant trade deficits. While this might have an inflationary effect, it could also compel companies to manufacture within the US. Overall, I’m highly optimistic about the US economy and its stock market.
