Disney et al. simply know which way the wind is blowing. And here, on the other side, is poor little Elon, trying to get the other kids' parents to force them to be friends with him. I wonder if you would likely have a somewhat different opinion if you were a Twitter shareholder (Twitter has lost 50% of its ad revenue since Musk took over, and his handling of Twitter has ignored the fiduciary responsibility he owes them) _or_ if you were a former employee and now out of work (almost half of its workforce was slashed, again due to drop in revenue). As much as Musk has every right to say what _he_ likes, advertisers also have every right to place ads wherever _they_ want. And as far as being "blackmailed", Musk got that wrong. Blackmail is when you try to extort money or something of value from someone else. Could your local supermarket rightly accuse you of blackmailing them if you decided to boycott them? You've simply decided to take _your_ money elsewhere.

This means what, exactly? That anytime you don't understand why something is, it has to be false? Could the serious problems associated with mob rule and censorship also be something you fail to grasp? Try this experiment: Fly over to China, then start an online campaign posting constantly about how, in your opinion, Xi Jinping isn't a very smart person and that he should be doing things differently. My suggested text for your first post is: "How anyone thinks Xi Jinping is a genius is beyond me." Make sure you let as many people as possible know about your trip beforehand. Notify the Wujing and the Xinhua News Agency as soon as you get there. Musk is standing up in opposition against what would happen to you if you did what I described. He's saying, "That's not a good situation. We don't want that. I'm publicly against that and I'm putting my money where my mouth is. And if I lose my company because of my principles, so be it." That's what "G.F.Y." means in the context he's using it.
