The truth is, the role of an investment advisor can often be overlooked but should never be underestimated. After facing a significant portfolio loss in 2020 during the COVID pandemic while trying to manage my investments on my own, I decided to reach out to an investment advisor. At that time, I had about $126K left in my portfolio. Now, without having to lift a finger, I'm semi-retired, working only 7.5 hours a week, and I'm just 15% short of my $1 million retirement goal thanks to my subsequent investments.

Gary held back USA to the Web3 industry by taking a discretionary "spank-your-bottom" approach with limited clarity how to operate much to the frustration of all industry professionals with their retroactive lawsuits. Those who engaged SEC and got limited assurances decided to move where the regulators were willing to give clarity. THE WHOLE POINT of a regulator is to provide clarity and allow market participants to navigate. It's not there to be a police looking to interpreting rules to define criminals. Clearly if you can't answer simple questions means you need a lot of work to interpret rules. Gary's biggest mistake is insisting that legacy regulatory rules still remain relevant to something so transformational and then having to scratch his head looking at every crypto asset and making the whole process on suing people look very political. When everything is discretionary, everything becomes about incentives, power and politics. I won't be surprised years later we discover enormous amounts of corruption due to the lack of clarity. The most disappointing part of this is I actually watched his whole MIT class to learn about crypto and DeFI when I was studying this industry. I know enough to know he was wrong or clearly there must be powerful people behind him that tied his hands into becoming such a disappointment.😮

It’s regretful that Joe Kernan and Andrew question to this extent the validity of cryptocurrency and it’s integration without the common sense application of its utilization and volatility Joe brings up a you’re doomed for what you’ve did and you’re doomed for what you did not do scenario rhetoric against the SEC chair. That’s not journalism, that’s opinionated criticism. Crypto is not a viable asset for institutional asset management yet. It’s also not liquid and stable enough to maintain in a portfolio. I think the journalist in squak box needs to be change. We need more talent, Joe certainly is not up to speed with modern trends/technology and what is happening. Could you imagine if the supervisions for cryptocurrencies were not put into place and now your portfolio or 401k has NFT’s? Those were the hot and flashy thing if you can remember. Easy to play the the blame game Joe, reasoning and logic is harder on the brain.
