@theWebWizrd10 ай бұрын
Of course it is lawsuit territory. Like he said, it is considered a form of fraud. From Cornell Law: "To prove prima facie defamation, a plaintiff must show four things: 1) a false statement purporting to be fact; 2) publication or communication of that statement to a third person; 3) fault amounting to at least negligence; and 4) damages, or some harm caused to the reputation of the person or entity who is the subject of the statement." If those four things are shown to be true, then the entity in question can and should be convicted of demafation in a court of law. Bill Ackman obviously believes that the actions of his wife cannot be described as plagiarism, so that is point 1. Point 2 is obvious. As for point 3, Ackman believes (and it is beyond obvious that) the whole thing was a hit piece on him, which is beyond negligence. It is also concievable to prove negligence based on that Ackman disputed the plagiarism claims and it was published anyways. And point 4 is also demonstrably true - just observe the former Harvard president as to the harm plagiarism accusations cause.

Anti-semitism? For pointing out far right wing policies of Israel, how do we even take him and organizations like AIPAC seriously.

What is the obsession with antisemitism? There so much hate out there in the world for all sorts of groups, yet all we ever talk about is antisemitism?

I do appreciate the pushback on Bill Ackman’s hypocrisy. Critical of DEI but pounces all over so-called anti-semitism (critics of israel are not ani-Semitic). All-in and funding the campaign over Claudine Gay’s lack of citation, but quick to walk it all back when it comes to his wife’s plagiarism. Bill Ackman’s campaign is for his benefit and convenience.

You cannot say ANYTHING negative about Israel without being labeled anti-semitic. Even though said country commits war crimes on a daily basis.
