Recently bought some recommended stocks few months back and now they are just penny stocks. There seems to be more negative portfolios in the last 3rd half of 2023 with markets tumbling, soaring inflation, and banks going out of business. My concern is how can the rapid interest-rate hike be of favor to a value investor, or is it better avoiding stocks for a while?
@Kaustavpatell29 күн бұрын
Just ''buy the dip'' man. In the long term it will payoff. High interest rates usually mean lower stock prices, however investors should be cautious of the bull run, its best you connect with a well-qualified adviser to meet your growth goals and avoid blunder.

The truth is that this is really not as difficult as many people presume it to be. It requires a certain level of diligence, no doubt, which is something ordinary investors lack, and so a financial advisor often comes in very handy. My friend just pulled in more than $84k last month alone from his investment with his advisor. That is how people are able to make such huge profits in the market.

If companies are earning boatload of money, then how are they overvalued? Just look at how much money these companies are making.
@VeliThaDonАй бұрын
Think of it this way, would you buy a company for a billion dollars if you would make a million dollars a year for the rest of your life? If the company only generates a million dollars a year in cash flow, it cannot be worth a billion dollars. It would take you 1000 years just to break even on your investment. That’s why. Aswath factors in all scenarios when valuing a company.
@Dakid015Ай бұрын
@VeliThaDon is right. You have to look at earnings relative to stock price. If a company is earning every quarter or year that's great but if the markets are pricing their stock to be way too expensive you have to look at their future growth and earnings potential to see if they can measure up to the high stock price. You can get a rough idea by doing a quick discounted cash flow analysis or you can look at earnings multiples like PE ratios. Just a couple things to look at
@navsofour2892Ай бұрын
@@Dakid015 That's the idea they are discounting the FCF of future AI growth. If you find that too risky invest somewhere else. That is why I only own AMZN based on this.

@@VeliThaDonbut these are stocks that have growths above 20%. They are monopolist cash making machines. In 4 years of growth they cost you Zero. Even if they are "expensive" today. Look i get you, and thats why i till 2018 i allways invested in utilities and staples. Allways had dividends/interest around 5% with near zero growth. Now i prefer microsoft 1% dividend but with growth capacity

This is THE END of first time home ownership and the slow death of the middle class in a generation. 77 bids over 4 years for our first home as native Tennesseans ALL OUTBID by cash investors. Wonder why we Millenials & Gen Z are doom spending? Why we aren't having kids, getting married? We CAN'T afford a home, car, kids, retirement... Child care costs 1/3 of the average income PER CHILD. At 35 y/o kids and a first home passed us by. Don't be surprised that these younger generations want to see it all burn. This economy isn't for us, it never has been. We've been checked out, not by choice

It really doesn’t make any difference. We don’t pay any attention about what people say about Coca Cola stock or Gillette stock or any of those things On any given day 2 muillion shares of Coca Cola may trade that’s a lot of people selling a lot of people buying If you talk to one person and Charlie talk to another person I mean You really should not make any decisions in securities based in what other people think , if you are doing that you should think about doing something else because a public opinion will not get you rich in Wall Street So you really should stick with businesses that you feel you can somehow evaluate yourself. Charlie and I , we don’t read anything about what the economy is going to do , what the market is going to do Any time I read an article that says something this analyst said about this is and that , it doesn’t mean anything to us

But, you know, I’ve not earned any stars for my past economic predictions. And the good thing about my economic predictions, even if I do make them, is that I pay no attention to them myself, so. (Laughter) I really - and the way we pick our investments is we just don’t get into the macro factors. I can’t recall a time when Charlie and I have looked at a business, either buying it in its entirety or buying pieces of it through the stock market. I just - macro conclusions are - just never enter into the discussion. I mean, I’ll pick up the phone. We’ve had these two in recent months. And I’ll tell Charlie about it. And, you know, we talk about a few things. But we don’t talk about anything remotely macro. And that’s really the way it’ll stay.
