Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi joins 'Squawk Box' to discuss the company's quarterly earnings results, which reported fourth-quarter results Wednesday that beat analysts’ estimates on top and bottom line, state of the consumer, state of the company's delivery business, growth outlook, and more.

In fact here is how world's greatest ever scam companies scam the Gig drivers. E.g. Uber, Lyft, Door Dash would show a surge (busy) area to me, but once I go there, there's no surge there, so I don't follow the surge. Another e.g. Lyft would send me garbage trip that pays like $0.90 cents per mile (actually all Lyft trips are garbage) & in the bottom mention, you're going to a busy area, but once I go there, it's the same scam in that area too -- 0.90 cents per mile but no money for minutes I have to waste whether it's 20 minutes or 50 minutes trip. I definitely stay away from long trips: e.g. from Fremont, CA to San Francisco, CA is 40 miles, 50 minutes in normal traffic, and they charge the passenger between $100 to $120 dollars. -- But you know how much the world's greatest scam companies pay me for that 50 minute, 40 mile trip is: Uber pay me $28 & Lyft pay me $23. Please if you can & don't mind, ask the driver to cancel the ride once they arrive for pickup & pay the driver cash $100 for that trip or Zelle the money or Venmo the money or even PayPal... Another thing is on top thrash trip fares, once I take the bate & arrive at that hot spot, for the next trip, you're not paid for driving to the hot spot-for miles driven & minutes wasted. Hence, I AM DAMMED IF I DO & I DAMMED IF I DON'T. Welcome to Uber, Door Dash, Lyft, Grub Hub, Roadie & etc driver life. Corrupt, stupid California politicians passed a law called Prop 22 saying for a mile Gig apps should pay at least 0.34 cents per mile (when Federal rate is 0.69 cents for using your own vehicle for company use, so is California cheaper than other states?) & must pay at least $24 dollars per hour for the driver. So what Uber, Door Dash, Grub Hub do, they pay only $24 dollars per hour no matter how many miles driven because a law says at least $24 dollars is enough. - Instead of paying the driver separate rate for miles driven for using the driver's own vehicle & another rate for minutes on booked time for driver's Time/effort. This is so corrupt. I almost all the time, receive zero Prop 22 adjustment pay from Lyft at the end of the week because of the above 2 clauses. Stupid, corrupt Prop 22 should be reappealed for Frances new 2024 rideshare rates laws, which is: $1.70 per mile for the vehicle (or 1 Euro per Km) separate rate AND pay separate minimum $0.55 cents (Euros) PER MINUTE for driver's TIME/effort.

Drivers are having to work 12 hours just to earn what we could previously earn in 4 - 6 hours. I don't know how UBER has the audacity to boast about this knowing drivers have suffered because it. If I had a rideshare, I crash and burn the business before I let my drivers suffer. UBER IS NOTHING WITHOUT DRIVERS... Dara Khosrowshahi how do you sleep at night? Shame on you! You deserve prison. Our Govt is wrong for protecting Uber and its shady practice. This profit you made is from driver exploitation!

Who in the right mind would agree to a $2500 insurance deductible? Furthermore, Uber's cut (trip take rate) is between 35% to 85% from customer payment, unbelievable, why aren't any of these criminal scammers not in the jail? Have the apps open on Feb 14th the Valentines but don't take any trips, in that way those who are going to work on that day don't get any surge for lack of drivers at least. Moreover, Gig apps should pay the independent contractor (the driver) same as what France passed for new 2024 rates: $1.70 per mile for the vehicle (or 1 Euro per Km) AND minimum $0.55 cents (or Euros) PER MINUTE for driver's effort. And those rates should run like a stopwatch on the phones on every second & miles (Km) driven, separately like a old taxy cab meter. Furthermore, those rates should be updated weekly depending on gas/petrol prices, inflation & etc, & never should be lower than what I suggested because it's not year 2015 although Uber, Door Dash, Lyft, Grub Hub, Roadie thinks so.

As a previous driver NO driver likes doing uber x-share. Far more issues than regular uberx and super low pay. Their base pay has been cut in half over the last year. I believe that's the reason for their current earnings surge is simply becuase they are taking a bigger cut from the drivers wages. The number of trips available over the last 6 months has been around 1/2 of what i used to see so there aren't more trips while at the same time the # of drivers in my area is relatively the same since there is a cap imposed.

That’s the problem there is no control on these apps , and no consequence for these scammers , one Minute the prices are 3 or 5 times the price a taxi would be charging and next minute prices are much less then what a taxi would charge meaning there is not profit for 2 parties whatsoever profit is left thieves Uber /Lyft takes it leaving the drivers time wasted and expenses to solve , this is the hard reality , and hats is why I’m doing more and more cash trips , even so customers are so used to pay so little for a ride , even if the get a 30 plus minutes for $5 they will just take advantage of the system with no tip , this is facts

It used to be possible to make some decent money doing rideshare, but it seems those days are gone. First Uber disrupted and nearly destroyed the taxicab industry. Then Lyft came along and started a price war. Now nobody makes any money. Not taxicab drivers or rideshare drivers. And it will only get worse as the number of rideshare drivers continues to swell. The result will be fewer and fewer requests per driver, and less and less surge pricing due to the saturation of cars. First Uber ruined the taxicab business. Then Uber and Lyft together ruined rideshare. They don't care, and they're not interested in fixing it.

They work driver issues into the last 30 seconds, and Khosrowshahi starts stuttering over his words. They’re making blood money over underpaying drivers and have zero concern for driver safety. I drove Uber for about a year and there was zero information, concern, or guidelines regarding driver safety. I’m waiting for massive class action lawsuits against this company for negligence for driver safety. This is not a good man.

What's he smiling about? 1bln came from equity investing in a year when only an idiot's investments wouldn't go up, so only 0,4 came from this 36bln revenue monster which is 0,19 per share. Let him talk about moving money around then, not the services they provide. Nobody has a record of his equity investing skills, though.

Hello Dara, since the OS AIs flopped and are in burden of the data not given value to the businesses in listing and also govt buildings for service or in operation blocked their way missing the inclusion of photo like they invested more on video, Uber with maps and review on ride and partner driving it, a sale is good for them to reduce their cost for such a data also in conflict, if I am right Uber can have to be embedded immediately so a great share value increment only from this, if in profit can I earn back share of profit, sorry I worked with top Marketing agencies and also close to great CEOs directly holding in fortune 50 positions too, same like holding driver license to cab level like in India to ride Uber. Also the share of companies like Maruti Hyundai Tata and others of India Auto makers held their positions in a certain model irrespective of market demands for stabilisation chances getting and govt of few states alao looking to move to cars are reliable source with country rating in advancement too
