I never buy these clothing brands anymore! They do nothing for me!

That is the wrong approach to investing. It is not about you but it is about their higher income target customers who are very loyal to the brand and less impacted by economic downturn. If you invested $10,000 in Jan 2013 in Nike and Lululemon each, your money will grow to $82,778 (for NKE) and $215,871 (LULU). Let that sink in. You will 8x your money for Nike and 21x your money for Lululemon stocks in 10 years
