Thanks for adding this video. I have been trying to figure out a way to design moldings faster than actually having to do the two rail sweep. This is a great find. Thanks a lot Jeff.

Great to see you back Jeff. Helpful video as always. Easy way to create custom moldings or even a raised panel door.

Nice of you to say Bob. Thanks for the encouragement. I am really hoping to hit it hard in 2017 and looking at getting a Maverick myself. Have a great holiday.

Afternoon Jeff, does this method have the option of rough first, then finish. Reason it drops to max depth even by choosing 1mm at a time, thank you
@jeffsearles3510
@jeffsearles3510 3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you may select a roughing tool path first use a quarter inch or 6.35mm endmill to do the roughing first, then do your finish pass. The roughing will probably make 2-3 passes in the general shape depending on size, then finishing cleans it all up. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching.

It ABSOLUTELY works with curves and or line segments that are not straight. You can machine some pretty cool moldings. Thanks for watching.

CNCPRINT.BLOGSPOT Indeed Michael's files are there. I thought I had given him credit at beginning of video, however the tutorial was traced from some vectors on line then created. Michael is GREAT, and I hope I didn't come across as pirating or steeling his specific profile. If it comes across that way my apologies. Would never represent something as original that wasn't. Thanks for the input.

Where did you find those molding images at Jeff?

Marc Eaton Hello Marc, I literally just googled moldings, and crown molding images and hundreds of profiles popped up, then I would redraw them with drawing tools in Aspire. Hope that helps.
