Hi Matt, I have a CrossFire Pro on order and have already decided to put a one piece water table in it. I also live in Oregon, between Astoria and Portland. Could I get the contact info for the shop that built your table? I'd like to talk with them about doing one for me. Thanks,

The water splashing on the parts (steel parts or course) keeps them from rusting as well. I use the same plasma fluid recipe, but use blue food color. I love it

Haven't had a chance to watch the whole video yet, but saw what recipe you're using and wanted to share my experience. I tried that in my CrossFire Pro from the first setup - the smell while cutting isn't super nice, and then I did more research and found out the fumes are toxic. It also after a few weeks, isn't super effective in rust prevention. I only mixed 5 gallons of worth and extrapolated the amounts from the same recipe you have, but overall I just haven't had a great experience. Particularly I'm seeing it's not working great for rust, and I've felt a little bad after cutting a few times enough that I don't want to keep messing with it. I'm about to order some of the Plasma Green 9010 from Konzen to try and see how that does.
@MattVerley
@MattVerley 3 жыл бұрын
Interesting...but my experience hasn't been the same. After over 2 months my table fluid is crystal clear and there is zero rust or corrosion on any parts...it clearly works VERY well at preventing corrosion. As far as the fumes go, I have a huge Dayton exhaust fan that I run while doing cutting/welding/plasma so fumes are never an issue. I've cut out hundreds of items since I did this video...maybe thousands. At least 6 full 4x8 sheets.

Matt Verley Glad to hear it’s working out for you. Sounds like you maybe went about it a smarter way by making enough concentrate for 75 gallons and then using that to make your final solution instead of just trying to make it in a smaller batch like I did. Or maybe it’s the water quality used to make it? Who knows? Sounds like you have much better ventilation as well - my space is much smaller and has almost no ventilation. Did end up ordering the Plasma Green 9010. We’ll see how it works out. If I use it all up or if it doesn’t work too tell, I’ll try mixing the other recipe as a concentrate like you did and see if that works. Also got some PH strips to keep better tabs on the solution in the table.

@@BradleyMakesThings I'd like to know how it works for you! Let me know if you feel like the commercial solution works better. Probably right about the ventilation...my shop is 30x48 with 12' side walls and vaulted ceilings so there's a lot of volume there. If I run the table without any ventilation for more than about 15 minutes there is a noticeable steam/haze in the shop. I don't like breathing anything like that regardless of the source, that's why I installed the exhaust fan. Fortunately it doesn't get THAT cold here...propping the man door open and running the fan for a few minutes completes a pretty good air exchange.

Like your one piece table, I assume you did not bolt it down as the weight of 15 gallons of fluid would not really move the table. Or did you?
@MattVerley
@MattVerley 3 жыл бұрын
You are correct; it is not bolted down. I do need to be a little careful when trying to slide heavy sheets of material around on the table, but it is obvious if the tray shifts a little and this hasn't been an issue. I had planned on welding some holding tabs to the frame to lock the tray into place...but so far it hasn't been necessary.
@gorillamotors
@gorillamotors 3 жыл бұрын
@@MattVerley Thanks. I thought so. I think I am going to use the 2 piece right now but not using those sheet metal screws to bolt the down. Also, did you find that the self drilling machine screws were self drilling? I had to drill holes in the square tubing first then use them.

Pan cost...dang..how much did the tig cost?
@MattVerley
@MattVerley 3 жыл бұрын
I bought the Dynasty setup as a package used from a fab shop in Seattle a few years ago; it had 14 hours on it and came with a bunch of stuff...basically the dynasty 350DX TIGrunner package with extra torches, wireless foot pedal, fingertip controls, consumables, etc. I paid $7000 for it. At the time, that was about 1/2 of what everything would have cost new (not sure what current prices are). It's a great machine. It replaced a Synchrowave 200 that I had bought new a few years earlier; no real complaints about the synchrowave, but comparing it to the dynasty 350 is apples and oranges.

The table does not take 75 Gallons. What are the measurements you used for the amount of water the table needs?
@MattVerley
@MattVerley 3 жыл бұрын
I don't believe there was any point that I insinuated the table held 75 gallons. It certainly doesn't. It holds around 15 gallons. I did, however, make up enough concentrate to make about 75 gallons of the table fluid and stored it in a bottle for future cleanings.
