Very informative. Even not having active dust collection, you don't appear to have static electricity problem sticking sawdust to your metal parts. I guess your machine has a good grounding to dissipate static. No dust accumulation in and around motor either! Good to see trim routers standing up to heat & wear of high usage. Didn't think they were designed for CNC type of duty cycle several hours continuous

No, I do not have a static problem. The router does fine for long run times. The brushes will last for about 150 to 200 hours.

As always thank you for the helpful videos. I seen in a reply below you added the link for the needle attachment but I still don't see it. Can you please re share it? Thank you

I enjoyed your video on the maintenance of my cnc4newbie. However, I found my cnc was not square. Do you have a video that covers this problem or you can direct me to where I can find out? Thanks
@PawPawsWorkShop2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the assembly video shows how I square my CNC machines

@@PawPawsWorkShop I have watched the video a few times but you do not address my problem. My CNC4NEWBIE machine is NOT square. How would I fix it?? Thank you, Jene
@PawPawsWorkShop2 жыл бұрын
Did you see the part where I use the sticks to measure diagonally across the machine. If you loosen the screws on the back of the machine you can use the sticks and slide back and forth until the measurement is exactly the same

@@PawPawsWorkShop I saw how you did it on the X-Carve and I was talking about the CNC4newbie. So I wasn't sure if it was the same procedure? Thank you
@PawPawsWorkShop2 жыл бұрын
It’s exactly the same. I have used this on the CNC4NEWBIE, XCarve, FOXAlien. The process to square the machine is all the same.

I was wondering if you have a video on the quality of the cnc4newbie? does it cut reasonably fast, accuracy? How good are the instructions. everybody always makes a video, talks over and speeds it the video. I would just like to see it running! My wife and I have a Longmill but I'm not a fan of v wheels and sometimes when I change router bits the router axis moves on one side and it skews. Any thoughts on this would be a huge help on the decision to get one. What would be your best video covering all this?

What do you think about incorporating a downdraft dust system into the spoils board and around the perimeter of the machine?

Is long lead screw better than toothed drive belt (apart from tension adjustment) ? Most big home CNC's seem to be belt
@PawPawsWorkShop3 жыл бұрын
Yes, belts break and require maintenance.

Another question in regards to lubing the anti backlash nut assembly, I see the ones for the Y1 and Y2 axis and understand how to slide the y axis out of the way to lube them, but what about the ones for the x axis and the z axis, are they easy to get to to grease as well? also, do you have a video that shows the adjustment of these anti backlash assemblies when it needs to be done. Thank you! Mike

I see the link for the grease gun comes with a needle point tip, is this small enough for the NewCarve bearing holes or should I also order the needlenose part in the separate link ? Thank you! Mike
@PawPawsWorkShop3 жыл бұрын
According to CNC4NEWBIE you need the needle nose part as well. I use it on my machine and it works great

How about the X linear screw on the Z for lube
@PawPawsWorkShop3 жыл бұрын
The linear bearing do not have a removeable screw that I can see therefore it appears that just putting grease on the rail is the only option. I will be contacting CNC4NEWBIE

Can you use the general purpose 3 in 1 or is the penetrating 3 in 1 better?
