Another masterpiece! Really enjoyed the longer video but understand it was a longer trip and the editing work must be a lot. Thanks for putting the time in and taking us along for the adventure.

Thanks for coming along as always Paul! I don't mind the longer videos, it's just hard to find enough suitable music 😅

I am so grateful for your shared experiences and the wonderful videos. Whenever the state of the world feels too much I seek out your calming videos. So impressed with your approach to sharing your many NZ walks without too much ego. New Zealand will always be my first true home (originally visited in 1967) and I am so close to being there traveling in your footsteps. Hope to manage one last trip in 2025. Thank you for creating such immersive experiences. Wishing you a lifetime of beautiful hikes.

Thank you for the kind words Doris, it really means a lot ❤️😊🙏 Glad you find some enjoyment in our videos, it's comments like this that keep us going! Can't image how different NZ must have looked back in 1967. Hope you get there in 2025 😄

When I did this walk I was on hands and knees crawling over the saddle due to the 100kph+ winds, got a tad scary but so worth it, it was a shame you did not go up to Angelus hut/lake, great vid.

That sounds intense! We didn't go to Lake Angelus during this trip because we planned to return and go up Roberts Ridge to Lake Angelus another time. We have a video of that on our channel as well 😊

Thankyou so much for filming this tramp. I so loved seeing 'hinterland' I don't have the stamina to reach. So I appreciate very much you fitter folk who can go and have the generosity to film as well. I'm a Kiwi, and I love my land. Thankyou, thankyou, Kia Kaha! 😘 Ellen

Absolute amazing job Chris and Danya! Love this long video and could watch it again and again. Keep making these cinematic B-rolls, those I'm always looking forward to watch. Looks fantastic on my 4K monitor 😀 I'm coming to NZ with my girlfriend start march, and will be traveling around just like you two, so it's great with some tips & tricks for those hikes. Hope to run into you two one day. Cheers.

Superb video - I thoroughly enjoyed that. I've walked a lot of what you filmed a few years ago, and will be back there next weekend with the Moa Hunters. You balance of letting the imagery speak for itself vs adding spoken commentary is very good. You have a genuine editing talent. Watching this has made me look forward to getting back to the Nelson Lakes even more! Cheers. 🙂

That's so exciting for both you and your friend doing the TA! Danya and I wanted to do the TA while we were over there, but didn't have the block of time unfortunately! Just means we'll have to return one day to complete it 😊 Good idea on bringing the tent! The trail can get pretty busy and carrying a tent gives you a lot more flexibility

Awesome video, very calming, beautiful shots, but also showing some of the hard slogs, I love the reality. Also inspiring for me as we are looking to escape Auckland and settle somewhere in the South ... Nelson Lakes is now on the list. Loved the closing line and the view from the carpark 😃
