cnet.co/19Y7aKN No single set of suspension settings is right for all conditions, but thanks to adaptive suspension, you have in effect thousands of suspensions in one car.

I usually don't give much attention to these informational videos however the way Cooley explains it makes it more entertaining

I can't believe Citroen wasn't mentioned at all! The thought of diesels make me think of VWs, thought of hybrids make me think of a Prius, thought of electrics makes many think of Tesla. But when I hear "soft" or "pneumatic suspension", all I think of is Citroen! Hell, I never knew McClaren MP4-12C had it until just recently!

I had a neighbor who worked for Bose back in the 70's, and he described the work they were doing on automobile suspensions. Even then, he described a system where the car would sense a pothole, and lift the wheel over it. It was pretty amazing stuff. It's an interesting company. My neighbor worked in their video R&D department. They didn't (and still don't) sell any video products; it was all about research that interested Dr Bose.

I would imagine that these adaptive shock absorbers are going to cost a lot to replace. Given that regular shocks and struts already cost near 1000 dollars to replace, parts and labor.

Not one word about whether this tech makes the car ride more comfortable.
