I've never met anyone who's said their phone's screen was too big. To the contrary. Everyone who's ventured away from an iPhone to a larger Android phone as stated, "I can't imagine going back to apple until they have a larger screened iPhone." I heard plenty of people saying that 3.5" is all they would want two years ago. Same people loved that extra half inch when they got it. Do you truly believe that wont be the case again? I think a lot of us Apple users aren't being honest about not wanting a larger screen. Apple will continue to give us a half inch every two years to keep us on the upgrade train.

I got an HTC One today. Best choice of my life. The Beats audio, I thought was a gimmick, but holy SHIT it kills it. At max audio, it is still VERY crisp. It runs perfectly fine with 0 lag, and battery isn't an issue. I had it playing pandora, downloading apps and it only dropped a tiny bit.

It's all a matter of opinion, there's many different phones for many different people. These reviews drive me insane, if someone hates so many features about the iPhone then don't buy one, if there's so much to dislike then why do a review about it? Same goes for those bitching about Android phones. I had an iPhone 3G then a 4 now I've got a Galaxy S4 but I'm now off to look at an iPhone 5s simply because most of the apps I want are only on iOS. The customisability of the Galaxy S4 will be massively missed by me but I'll sacrifice that for the sake of certain apps. Just buy whatever phones works for you and be happy with it instead of focusing so much time and attention negatively towards things you don't like

I think the 4 inch screen on the iPhone is fine because it enables my finger to touch all over the screen instead of having to use 2 hands on the bigger screens. I don't watch movies on my phone, I have iMac to do that for me. So I prefer the adequate screen of the iPhone. If there is a bigger future for iPhone 6, then I hope they keep the smaller size because as I said, I like using 1 hand, not two.

It's all about personal preference. For me, the Galaxy S4 is perfect. Even though it's plastic, I don't really care because I have a case on it anyway so it doesn't matter. If Google keeps it up with Android, I can see a lot of people coming over to Android. The reverse holds true if Apple makes a bigger iPhone.

Who needs a 128 Gb model? Maybe those who like hundreds of thousands of songs, hundreds of movies and huge amounts of games on their phone. Or you could just stream Netflix and subscribe to iTunes Match for 30 bucks a year. Also, I use a 5S fairly intensively every day and I rarely hit below the 20% mark. Most people charge their phone every night anyways and its generally better for the battery to completely drain then completely charge again than for it to be charged at 30% or so. I generally agree with some of the stuff this guy is saying but come on, improvements, upgrades and endless features regardless of how practical they are is just stupid.

You are absolutely right about the memory. But who says charging the battery every day is bad. Come on it is not 90's any more. In fact, frequent charging will increasing the battery life by reducing the discharging cycles. The Lithium based battery will last long if you reduce the charging cycles. A full discharge may be once two months will help the battery juice meter to calibrate it self but not the battery to extend its life. Please read more about this myth.

Apple's 4-inch screen is a perfect size. You're able to touch the whole screen with your thumb unlike Android phones. You either have to move it up or use your pointer finger (which looks stupid in my opinion). Screen size IS the reason I chose Apple over Android

The S4 isn't a phablet. To me it's the perfect size. When I had the iPhone 5s movies and videos wern't as enjoyable and games were hard to play if it involved a virtual joysticks on the screen like Dead Trigger as my thumbs cover most of the screen. You think that it's big but really it's not. After getting use to the bigger screen on my S4 and my work phone (HTC One) I don't see myself going back to Apple. I love Apple and its devices (proud owner of an iPhone 5S, MacBook Pro and an iPad), but my BlackBerry 9790 was even fitted with Near Field Communication. I agree with statement #2, NFC is going to become a necessity these days. Here in the Netherlands, NFC is now used to pay for transactions and more. Hope they'll implement this feature in the coming iPhone 6.

Having a bigger screen is a huge plus for me, considering I can't afford a $400-500 price for a tablet that basically is a less functional smartphone. Sid Pablo That's a constant iPhone disappointment. Whenever I'm with friends, there is undoubtedly someone asking if there is an iPhone charger around. Why? Because the iPhone battery is still some of the weakest in the high end smartphone class. Most flagship android phones (which still have much bigger screens that suck up more energy, mind you) have larger batteries to accommodate the increasing energy demand and are all day performers.

iphone battery life is pathetic. It does not last even the advertised 10 hours. Fully charged and with medium use lasts less than 8 hours. It is so bad that at the airports you see only iphone users all heaped around the only electric plug trying to get their phone charged in order to survive the trip duration.

The only one I agree with is battery life. Also, I don't want a bigger screen. If it gets any bigger then it will be even more difficult to use it with one hand. I actually preferred the 3.5in one.

I've used all brands and decided to switch to apple. 3 years and still going stong. My friends are shocked I haven't change phone yet(I used to change phone every 1 half years) I keep waiting for it to be a problem but I have yet to find one. Will be sticking to it

It all boils down to personal preference. my phone is 4.65" and i feel its too small after having it for a while. I want something larger which is just my personal preference. The iPhone screen is flawless for its size and definitely looks great, but i am just a large phone person. Would probably fetch for an iPhone if there were more options for size.

I love it how people are hating because of larger screened phones. Think of it this way: If people didn't what larger screened phones, then they wouldn't be manufactured. That's the wonder of a free market; you 'vote' with your purchases. All you Apple fanboys saying that 'cellular phones are meant to be small' have an invalid argument. A cellular phone is defined as: a telephone with access to a cellular radio system so it can be used over a wide area, without a physical connection to a network. Source: Google Nowhere in that definition does it say that it 'has to be smaller than x' Another common argument I see made is: 'It has to fit in your pocket,' which i somewhat agree with. I have a Note 2, and it fits in my jeans pocket, no problems. I could even fit an Xperia Z Ultra in my pocket, but that may be because I have guy-pockets. Also, It's not like there aren't smaller Android phones. You could get the HTC One Mini or the S4 Mini. Even those phones are larger than the iPhone. It just goes to show how stubborn Apple is. The whole market is migrating while Apple stays put.

to be honest, I don't have a problem with the size of the screen. And yet, I am an Android user. currently using HTC One X. The reason why I feel the size of the iphone's display is decent, is because it has less chances of people using phones 24/7. Imagine having a 6.0 inch display, People will actually spend their time watching a movie in a smartphone if the screen is bigger instead of watching movies in your home theatre system. so phones with a decent size, say between 4.0 to 5.0 is Good enough in my opinion.

You need a 720p or a 1080p display to actually see the reason. I use an S2 also but mine is rooted and it's running Paranoid Android with a DPI of 190, It's like a wannabe 720p at this point but it's mainly to fit more items on the screen (hence the reason why I said 720p or 1080p display). You really have to experience it for yourself.

I agree with you, but instead of making two iPhone the same size (iPhone C and iPhone S) , wouldn't be better to make two different size iPhones? Just as HTC did, I personally would like to see an iPhone the same size as s4 or even better the note 3 and I'm sure many will agree with me

I think its the perfect size for an upgrade of the iphone 5 considering the whole new iphone 6 will most likely have most of these new features. the iphone 4s didn't have a bigger screen than the iphone 4 either.

I don't like the fact that my iPhone 6 has only 16 GB. I mean unless you use cloud services for storage you can't really download more than 8-10 apps without running out of space. I only just recently started using iCloud to move some pictures off my phone for more space and deleted apps I only open once in a while. Wish I got more space. Love everything else about the iPhone 6 though.

I've been a Android user since 2010 and I love it. I JUST got an iPhone 5 and I like it. The screen size doesn't bother me although I think the sweet spot would be about 4.5 inches. I'm diggin the new iOS7. I think if they didn't have that upgrade, I would've never made the switch. The ONLY reason why I left android for iPhone is because apps run way better on iPhone than they do on Android. Other than that, I would still be on my Galaxy S3.

Honestly apple should do the following for the iphone 6 1. 5 inch screen win a 1920x120p screen. 2. A battery that can last 12 hours with all day battery life. 3. Offer a 128 GB or have an SD card slot. 4. NFC (though I dont use it much) 5. Manageable cost off contract. 6. Better sound quality. 7. Use USB 3.0 for charging a phone.

since most people carry their phone with them anyway. seeing as how nfc is still being implemented i would hardly consider it mediocre. maybe it hasnt come to your area but (and im praying it does) when apple finally gets on bored with the iphone 6 you will see more nfc opportunities. there are already nfc posters where you can get free songs and pics. i can go to shoppers, cvs, target, best buy, and i think walmart (not exactly sure) and use nfc to pay for stuff. all im saying is that the old

i think the 4 inch screen is great. the size is just big enough but not too big. Im constantly moving around all day and im bumping into things and carrying things, i cant afford to have a tablet sitting in my pocket when i rely on mobility.

In addition, remember that a couple years ago apple went small with iPod nano, and it was all the rage. Now, yes people do more on their phones, but screen size I feel doesn't need to necessarily be bigger. The iphone 5 screensize is good for my needs, if the s4 is good for your needs then so be it. I do agree Apple will probably come out with a iphone that has a bigger screen at some point, just don't expect it for another model or two, as a lot of apple enthusiasts don't feel it's needed.

I'm no IPhone fan boy, hell it's the only apple product I own, but for me at least, every criticism that he leveled at the 5S matters exactly zero to me. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one, lack of availability would be a valid criticism in my opinion, and I love it. Also, you can't gloss over the camera. My friends with Android phones that look like they had an SLR cyberneticlly grafted on to them cannot even come close, especially in low light.

i dont like the bigger screen, bigger isn't necessarily better for the user, I'm actually switching back to iPhone , got the samsung galaxy s4, and it is just to big to be comfortable for one hand handling, just to much, its not like your are using it as your primary source of media, i think iphone screen it is much smaller than other devise this days, but it is actually the right size for what you need on the go. i do really love how things look on the s4 but I'm getting tired of its big body

I had Galaxy S4, spent £700 on iPhone 5s, now it's on e Bay and im back to S4. S5 will be my next phone. When I got the 5S, showing people at work the multi tasking and they're like wow that's brilliant. Got me thinking, it's not a patch on what the S4 does. The screen is shameful. Forget the size for the moment, but how can Apple release a new phone without 1080p? The "retina" display is put to shame particularly by the htc one. Finally, Android used to bug me for lag. Now Apple does.

The fact that it doesn't have a larger screen is what keeps me still very interested. I use my phone primarily as a phone. I wouldn't be able to comfortably fit phones like the galaxy in my pocket. Another thing that is my preference is that iOS always seems more fluid and easier to use. I won't go back to droid.
