His name is Antoine Goodwin, in my opinion he always gives great reviews. People we can't just rely on Brian Cooley for all the car reviews. I'm pretty sure he likes to take a vacation at least once a year. AntGoo keep up the great work I love your reviews, that's my opinion.

***** Torque isn't everything, you need power to keep the car going on the highway. Diesels have never been great higher up in the rev band, they run out of steam pretty quick. A V8 gas is a smooth, quiet, powerful engine and at $66,000, fuel costs should be a small concern.

Diesel years ago cost under 1 USD a gallon, now days forget about it. Way too damn expensive when regular gas engine hybrid cars can get the same efficiency.

For nearly $70,000 I would rather get a low end Tesla Model S and not use any oil at all. In Atlanta, the E-Class is pretty anonymous, almost like a Camry or Accord for mid-level management. Also, most people I know with the money to buy or lease new Mercedes don't need to drive it far from home, they just commute to work and fly to faraway vacations. A Tesla would work great in that case.

Well, for a few thousand more than the optioned up Merc, you get the base model Model S. That thing can get close to $100,000 if you add all the options, which offsets the fuel savings. With the Model S you get tech and performance, with the Mercedes you get luxury. It's not quite apples and oranges, but they are very different cars.

It's the extra 10% for twice the money math. Your Accord or Camry is fine but you want 10% more you go with their bigger brothers the Lexus or Acura. Want 10% more you go with something German Mercedes or Audi. 10% more? Panamera, Tesla. 10% still? Bentley or Rolls Royce. I just can't wait to see how self driving cars will change all this. Because at that point power is meaningless so its just a Sofa on wheels you sleep on / play with an ipad till you get to where you want to be.

That is so wrong. A car like a Mercedes-Benz is much better than some regular car. First, try getting self driving in a regular car. Then try getting the luxury that this Mercedes-Benz offers (or BMW, Audi, Maserati, Porsche) in a regular car. No, you don't get the cabin design, high quality materials, amazing seats and finish, great wood, and great leather or MB-Tex. You don't get the design of the car, nor the way it drives (including the powertrains and dynamics, and the smoothness).
