Let me translate it. At the beginning of the video, Ziyi was picking persimmons. She heard her neighbor was killing pigs, so she quickly went back to tell her grandmother that the neighbors were killing pigs she gotta to help and let grandma remember to close the door. She went to the neighbors with the quilt she made and red envelope (money) and fruit, but the neighbor had already done the pig when she went,She gave the red envelope to the neighbor. The neighbor refused. She insisted. The neighbor accepted the red envelope and gave her pork.....

This brings back memories ~sniffles~ I grew up like this 20 years ago, on my grandfathers farm in a small village in Bosnia (Europe). Everything done by hand, our own vegies, fruits, meat, milk. Grandma made the best food to this day. Grandpa passed away, all of us went to study and work, Grandmother sold all the animals as she couldnt take care of the farm alone, but we go visit often we really do. Nothing will beat those days, the farm, the old house, huge green fields and hills to be discovered, and granpas tractor as a spaceship. Everyone was super tired at the end of the day but carefree and healthy ^_^ I will never forget it ! So much love and luck for you dear Liziqi 🍀🤗

I miss your videos so much, I wish one day you will upload content again. One of the best without a doubt 😢 Extraño tanto tus videos, deseo algún día vuelvas a subir contenido. Una de las mejores creadoras.
This video reminds me of when I was a child growing up in a small village - each day before the sun got too hot, Pepe got his mule harnessed to his cart and set off to his plot of land to farm and harvest. In autumn, the pig was slaughtered and everyone in the village came to help make sausages and prepare the meat for smoking. We children happily went up the mountain to gather wood and gorse which we tied up with rope and dragged back down. In the evening we lit a huge bonfire, the pig preparations were done and some wine and food was prepared as a celebration . The bonfire was crackling and sparks everywhere, but we kids ran and jumped through the flames. I will always remember the aromas of cooking, the smoke and the crisp autumn air. Hard work for the grown ups - but magical memories for me. Life was hard, but simple then and families and communities helped each other.

It's like a reality show of a highly romanticized country girl's life, she really looks timeless, like she could be from late 18th century or you just could be passing her walking yesterday. It is relaxing and aspirational, it makes you feel like you should come back to the old ways, a simpler life that never really existed. ( being a poor farmer was and is hell). Also, there is something very... Studio Ghibli in the way they film this, she looks she was straight out of a Miyazaki movie

I grew up doing all the things Liziqi does. But I now live and work in Amsterdam 🇳🇱 not wealthy but I am comfortable. I’m originally from a small village in the northern part of Myanmar. Did all the things Liziqi does in my childhood as an ordinary farmer family. I so wanted to to escape what I thought peasant life so I started chasing the dreams in big cities. I have traveled quite a lot, worked and studied in many different countries away from my root and culture. Living in the big cities make me realized how much I have taken granted for those things and I also found out I couldn’t cook most of my favorite dishes because most of the time women do the cooking in my culture. So I’m going back home this time to document all my childhood memories such as farming, agriculture, handicrafts and cooking. Liziqi inspires me so much to appreciate simple life in nature. Please subscribe to my channel to see upcoming permaculture life. 😁

When she grow up, she tried various job at the city.. once upon a time, she got a call that her grandma was sick so she left everything and cameback to hometown to take care of her nana. She was inspired by her brother who uploads singing videos on Meipai (Chinese social media) and thinking that she could do one of that too. Over the years through trials and errors she was able to build her channel. After learning this about her, I was really impressed. All i can say is, she is truly a hard working person and never leaves her family. We all should be inspired!! Ps: All that woodworking and cooking skill she learned from her grandpa. prachi sahoo are you kidding? First wild life trading and eating are both illegal in China, why do you generalize all Chinese using a few law breakers? Second, you should really go travel around the world and see what people eat. Google bat as food and let Wikipedia tells you what countries eat bats, China is not even on the list. Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Palau, Vietnam, Thailand, Guam etc. all have bats as a local delicacy, Japan even has human feces meal (google it yourself), they have been eating weird stuff for a long time yet nothing happens, whereas the UK gets mad cow disease from eating cow, a common animal, why is that? Not to mention the various viruses from other common raised animals such as H1N1 and swine fever. Maybe it is not what you eat that matters, there are just too many random factors in the outbreak of a disease. Stop your baseless accusations. A video for you to check out kzbin.info/www/bejne/npWXlH58rNJkmbM and an article for you foreignpolicy.com/2020/01/27/dont-blame-bat-soup-for-the-wuhan-virus/

Wait till you visit the toilet at night and taking a bath without water pipe but carrying water from well or nearby river. Not to mention, without electricity and water pipe, you can forget about washing machines and wash your clothes by hand. It looks great in this video but the hardship of living in rural area without modern convenient amenities is real. I greatly appreciate her giving such lovely and dreaming touch despite the harsh living condition in rural area.

Fuhikie Waie you will get use to it especially if you grew up in rural area rigth?
@unrzldtrama9544 жыл бұрын
I'm sure it's all worth the trouble in the end. I see alot of rural areas who still have some amenities, like indoor plumbing and washing machines but no dryer. Even if there isn't, I think the lifestyle would still be alot healthier and more fulfilling. To see the fruits of your labor is satisfying in its own way.
@anguavonubervald75394 жыл бұрын
I gotta say - if rural China also has black widows that like to kick it in the outhouse no matter HOW many times you think you got them all, the delights of remote living are less delightful when you're riding out a widow bite with no treatment. Other than that the outside toilet isn't so bad and, nobody ever died of a tepid water sponge bath in a tin pan in front of the fire (probably). Sans-electricity and tap-water isn't so terrible though. You get a lot of reading/spinning/knitting done - even more if someone's willing to read TO you. Also you're a lot less wasteful when you're cooking/cleaning when you can't just chuck it all in the dishwasher and be done. Hand laundry is tedious as fuck though especially for doing all the home linens which you HAVE to do way more often, even when you have a mangle and an agitator - my kingdom for a fucking washing machine of SOME kind I don't have to pump water for multiple rinses. And in the dead of winter - my kingdom for a dryer.

This is normal in rural China. A family kills pigs, and the whole village helps together, and then cooks and eats together and cleans together. Not only killing pigs , people get married, or a baby is born, or celebrating old peoples birthday all neighbors come to help, cook together and celebrate together. It's a pity that we don't know if we can see people living like this half century later
