Back in the days when CNN was enjoyable to watch. I was crazy in love with Lynn Russell. She had movie star appeal. Just gorgeous.

How hard it must be to untangle a situation in the studio, when everyone in the control room is hardly able to speak because they are laughing!

@JacobTheRedWolf its called automation and the cameras were robotics. This is where TV and news stations replace a person like me behind the camera and decide to program the shots in the computer, and the computer drives the camera. But when the computer goes offline or glitches, or a wrong cue is drawn up, then stuff like that happens. I work in this field, but do remote stuff for CNBC and other networks

At that point there was way too much technology... It looks like CNN invested in remote control/robot cameras to operate more 'efficiently'. The thing is that sometimes manual control works the best.

Anybody in the television broadcasting business wanna tell me just exactly why those cameras kept panning around like that? What could have been possibly causing that? I'm really curious.

Remote-controlled robotic studio television cameras, sometimes the system crashes and since everything is done electronically, you're stuck. God, i hate robotic cameras

3:32 to 3:44 was a total mess. That whole production team should have been axed I am surprised that CNN is still on the air after this debacle. Did this occur regularly or what? This is terrible production on CNN's part! What they're doing here looks worse than the shit they did in the 1980's director's feed clips. What the hell is Valerie Voss on @ 4:14? It looks like ecstasy or some kind of speed. Bobbi Battista's "Fullscreen" is a classic. The director's laugh is just icing.
