I lived and worked in Ethiopia in the late 1970s for 7 years during the famine and the Mengistu red Terror. There were vast areas and towns for people to live, and be safe.

They are not invaders. They are economic refugees. It is time for Ethiopia and other African countries to fix the economic and security issues of their countries. People are suffering. Saudi Arabia is not a good country, it is a desert. They buy African agricultural lands to grow food that gets sent to Saudi. It is clear they can't feed their citizens without imports and oil money. Ethiopia used to be the bread basket, full of fertile lands, plenty of food until the UN assaulted their agricultural lands, constant wars, poverty, people are suffering

technically yes, border control is allowed to use the lowest, most effective mean to protect the border. A unpredictable intruding mass of people can be stopped with the strongest available means that may inflict bodily harm. Same as in prison riots. Many people think that on these migration routes are only helpless and piecefull individuals, but that is simply not the case.
