Bringing Manufacturers back to America was one of the first things President Trump started working on! He got us out of the terrible NAFTA treaty that sent American jobs to Mexico and beyond. I watched as under Obama my friends had to train the Mexican workers who were taking their jobs, just so they could get that one last paycheck. Then the government paid for them to go to Community College to train for new jobs that didn't even exist. Some students stayed in community college for a long time because there were no jobs to go to. Trump turned that around.

I think it was an increase of 414,000 pre pandemic but an overall loss of 178,000 (meaning the bad pandemic management and lockdowns resulted in the loss of over 500,000 manufacturing jobs). Would be interesting to see a distribution of that across the states.
