The young woman is dead, while he still gets to enjoy life. 3 meals a day, excercise, reading, TV, activities, etc. Life sentence is not enough of a punishment for murder. The only thing close to justice is the death penalty. His victim can never enjoy a meal again, why should he get 3 meals a day?

He literally matter-of-fact-ly explains how if you even show yourself to have a little bit of exploitable 'weakness' he will take advantage of that and abuse you without even thinking about what he's doing, that it comes naturally for him. He then explained that he limits his exposure to other people (as far as I remember) because he was self aware of what he was doing and wanted to avoid manipulating/hurting others which I admire, but I still say that someone like that cannot ever function in this society.

The woman's face as she cries and tries to hold back from losing control really hurt me. You can see the pain and her realization that she lost her life long best friend and has no comfort that he died in a seemingly painless way.
