Golf is a lot different. Cheating can be said to happen in about 95% of rounds played by people. Hiding what your doing is wrong though. If you're with others they need to know and be ok with it.. If you're in a tournament or leagues you need to follow club rules. If you are entering your score for handicap you need to play by the rules. But most rounds; you get friendly drops, maybe a mulligan or a breakfast ball. Something gets deemed ground under repair just to keep things fun.

Play badminton while holding your raket like a baseball bat for example. But if the goal is purely to win, a competition with bragging rights, high scores and throphies or laurels, then any and all cheaters are pathetic losers. They didn't bother to beat their opponent by challenging themselves to improve, by breaking their own limits. One of the core goals of competition. Nah, just wanted the victory to feed their misplaced ego. That is a loser's attitude because they'll never become really good.

White collar crimes have different laws than blue collar crime. For example, my neighbor has a nice UTV, it comes up missing and the cops find it parked in my garage, no one in my family can recall how it may have gotten there. Based on available evidence, my happy ass spends three and a half years in prison. Trump inflates his income and total worth to lending agencies and banks, in order to secure better rates when borrowing and/or securing better insurance rates, etc. So he tells the banks he is worth 10 billion. Now, because there are laws that prevent the IRS from asking the banks and/or lenders what they know about his worth, his taxes reflect a total worth of 2 billion. This is where the blue collar guy goes to jail, but the white collar guy must have his "intent" proven, which is difficult to do. Especially when this particular white collar guy has been running this grift since he was 3 years old, he might honestly believe that he can do these things. Trumps' legal theory is from Seinfeld, "Jerry, it's not a crime, if I believe it!"
