When I lived in the US I was shot in accidental misfire. I was taken to the hospital bleeding and in shock. Spent 5 hours in the trauma unit and was released. The total bill for two ct scans and no surgery was $ 36,000. My insurance provider Kieser Permanente sued me for not choosing to go to one of their hospitals while in shock. The closest being over 250 miles away. I eventually settled the accident and all of the money went to Kieser and my lawyer. I spent years reliving the trauma of the accident to end up with nothing but mental health issues. It got so bad I had to seek help in state institution after visiting a Kieser approved psychologist. When I was released from the institution Kieser cancelled my insurance the very next day. These greedy people have ruined countless lives for a few extra bucks. Anyone who has ever had to deal with these monsters will not be surprised by this in anyway. And you won’t find much sympathy either. Healthcare for profit is nothing short of evil.

If this individual is ever apprehended and brought to trial, I hope that potential jurors act with courage and exercise their right to jury nullification. Such an act would send an unmistakable message. Brian Thompson was a heartless profiteer who presided over policies that denied millions of desperate Americans the life-saving care they deserved, sentencing countless people to agonizing suffering and premature death. His legacy is one of mass murder for corporate profit. While the assassin’s motives may remain unknown, one truth is irrefutable: Brian Thompson was a blight upon humanity. His actions, born of indifference and insatiable greed, inflicted immeasurable pain upon countless families. In this context, his removal from society represents a small victory for justice. This act serves as a stark warning to all those who would exploit the vulnerable for personal gain: your crimes may not go unpunished. Even the faintest glimmer of resistance is better than no resistance at all. Every single one of us is at their mercy. If they feel just the slightest bit of fear, that there could be consequences to their actions, it may save other families from suffering bankruptcy, crippling debt, or premature death. That person or family might be you or someone you love.

@@bl8388 What exactly do health insurance CEOs do to help people? They are the reason healthcare is so unaffordable because they lobby against common sense solutions like Medicare for All and lowering prices.
@ArcturusAlpha5 күн бұрын
@@bl8388 many at the top do not have good ethics. there is data to back this up. we can have a healthcare system like they do in other countries. these people dont want that and actively fight reforms. this guy is not the same as doctors and nurses. if this guy was going against the norms and trying to make healthcare better for all then his name would be more well known for that and you wouldnt see comments like peters. but based on the actions of the industry over its history his statement holds weight even if you dont like that someone murdered. so yeah its hard to feel sorry for a guy who is in charge of a system that actively makes healthcare hard to get.

I came over to KZbin to see the comments on this issue. The list is never-ending, mostly negative about this guy. Wow. What can I say? It was bound to happen. The health insurance industry has hurt nearly every single person in the USA. In some industries, it's time for reform. But in this industry, it's time for an absolute revolution. Everything must be overturned, examined, inspected, critiqued, and finally made into a system that actually works for the American people. Dear Americans . . . I'm so very sorry you have had to put up with this horrible system for so long. You deserve better, and I sincerely hope you rebuild this entire system to meet your needs. Godspeed.

It's time for the American government to establish an universal healthcare system like the rest of us in Canada, England, Europe, Australia, Japan, Taiwan etc. etc.and insurance companies can serve as optional supplementary care. In Canada, doctor's visits, accidents, surgeries, emergency visits, baby deliveries, hospital stays, etc. etc. are paid by our universal healthcare and if you want anything on top such as semi-private hospital rooms, compression socks, orthotics, wheelchair rental, etc, then either you or your workplace can pay to those insurance companies. So basically we don't have medical debts.
