This is a totally ridiculous behaviour of these French tourists. I have been to this Safari Park many times, to watch the animals in a more or less natural environment and it's exciting. But, at the entrance of the park you are warned to keep windows closed, doors locked and not to get out of the car. It's done in 4 languages because no tourist speaks or read Dutch, except the 17 millions of Dutch people themselves. But even without a written warning it should be obvious not to do what these people did.

They need to have signs with pictures on them and to let the tourists know anyone filmed getting out of their cars will be fined. How to fine them? They can either choose to put a refundable $200 deposit down before driving into the grounds or put their credit card on file. If they are filmed breaking the rules, $200 is forfeited or $200 gets charged on their card. Simple. 90% of hotels do that, this park can do the same for the safety of the animals.

They were very lucky. A few years ago the same thing happened and a child was bitten in his arm by a cheetah in that same park. I read that in the most recent case the family missed a couple of warning signs. But they were french, so maybe they just didnt understand what was on the signs

Cheetahs aren't naturally aggressive and are very unlikely to attack a human. There are no records of a cheetah ever killing a person (that's partly because we're very big and powerful and it would be difficult for a cheetah to kill an adult human in the first place. But they certainly could kill a child). This couple probably provoked a reaction by wandering into the middle of them. If they'd stayed by their car, they might have been okay.

@@lmao5070 I guarantee you haven't. There are no records either in the modern era or historically of a cheetah ever killing a person, let alone eating one. You MIGHT have seen a video of a leopard killing a person. That's very possible.

@@seraphinaaizen6278 cheetahs are capable enough to kill a human though, what they lack is the fighting spirit of other big cats. Also there are about 2 records of cheetahs killing humans but only those are the recorded cases in human history.

These idiots had to be forced back into their car by the cheetahs! You read right: the wild animals exhibited more common sense and restraint than the humans in this situation. The cheetahs didn't even attack, they just corralled the idiots and made them get back in their car. Let that sink in.
