First female vaulter not first person. But I'm still a huge fan of her. one of my very favorite vaulters.

Never heard of vaulting until a few days ago. Will talk to my vet (retired) about it.. she has 6 horses, and jumps a couple (5'). Incredible talent, but seems some of the routines would be hard on a horse's back.

Or a horse, in the way of a damaged back (not for this, but I saw some doing complete back flips and landing on the horse). Curious if they exercise the horses to deal with it... someone above said they 'try to land light', but...

She was the first person to do a backflip on the horse during the world championship in 2012. She was injured in the second round of that competition, which is probably why she hasn't (as far as I know) included it in her newer freestyles yet since she recovered.

Elisabeth Walløe Nono.. First person was Eric Martonovich, doing it many years before. But that does not change the fact that Lisa is a great vaulter for sure :-) Hope to see her many more years on competitions.
