I spend hours each day with my disabled sister Catherine who was diagnosed with MS 24 years ago at the age of 37. Catherine lives in a nursing home and Murder She Wrote is a great favourite of ours which we never tire of. I would like to thank Angela for this wonderful series.

Angela Lansbury is nothing but pure class... you don't see that in Hollywood nowadays amongst the "new generation"... and probably never will... What a wonderful woman...
@seansilence26978 жыл бұрын
One of the reasons they stayed together so long is quite evident in those pictures. You see them young, and old, but in both pictures he is looking at her like she is his world. That touched me a lot more than I was expecting.

I really wanted to hug Ms. Lansbury when she started crying. Why would the reporter mention something that is obviously a very sensitive subject with Angela? Angela is a beautiful lady and an amazing role model. She will always be remembered and have a place in our hearts!

Interviewers and interviewees usually discuss beforehand topics to be covered and what is 'off-limits'.

Christiane Amanpour apologized (and seemed sincere) for doing what Barbara Walters _plotted_ to do in an interview once: make Angela cry. The story was that Angela and Barbara had discussed what subjects Angela would prefer _not_ to discuss ...and of course Barbara zeroed in on a painful subject while on camera, and refused to be turned from it until there were tears. Walters was _infamous_ for doing that to interviewees, whereas this seemed like a truly friendly interview.

Lol the interviewer switched from movies to Murder She Wrote. She forgot about her massive success on Boradway in between, and Angela had to point that out.

Watching inspiration people like Angela gives me new lease of life. I'm 22 and sometimes I think my "career" is over. I am a musician, and the best classical musicians started when they were young and play in orchestras until they're dead. Hard working talents, lovely people, with strife and problems along their way, just like Ms Lansbury show me that I need to grow a pair and not compare myself to others - life is a huge adventure, and I'm only in the early chapters - and she still has a career ahead of her godwilling.

One of the very great of our time. I think they briefly run through what they are going to discuss before the interview starts. When the love of ones life goes you never get over it. Time heals but it does'nt go away. They talk about Jessica Fletcher but no one ever connects that when she played Miss Marple in the 1980 film The Mirror Crakd that gave her inspiration to attempt such a task. I really think she played a terrific role in that film and was very convincing. Some dont. She was playing a part 25 years older than she was then and was great. yes. It will be a sad day when Angela does leave us but what a life and career and legacy.

The first movie I saw Angela Lansbury in was National Velvet. She played Velvet Browns sister. She was a presence in the movie then as she is now in whatever she does. I was amazed when later in her career she was a wonderful singer. She did it all musicals, comedy, and drama on stage, in movies and on television. I could go on about all Angela Lansbury has done in her long career but I will only say she is one of my favorite actresses and an absolutely beautiful and amazing lady.

...Wow. The interviewer starts out presenting Angela Lansbury as someone who to many of us is the protagonist from Murder She Wrote and Bedknobs and Broomsticks - those are exactly the two I know her from! It's strange that she'd say those in particular, consider Angela's numerous works.
@jeahavvalentin489510 жыл бұрын
How can amanpour ask Angela Lansbury such a rubbish stupid question like that is she ever going to retire? Heck no she's not because Angela Lansbury is way way too too young and youthful to be retiring because Angela Lansbury is only 18 years old.
@cmcb0910 жыл бұрын
Exactly she reminds me of Lauren Bacall, when asked that question she said as long as my mind is still semi functioning and I can put one foot in front of the other I have no plans of retiring.

Angela Lansbury will always be a favorite star of mine . I love all of her movies and Murder she wrote I feel.her sadness for her husband passing. The interviewer was a little crash in asking Ms. LANSBURY HER AGE. VERY RUDE AND MS. LANSBURY PAYSED B4 ANSWERING. NO ONE ASKS A SENIOR CITIZEN HER AGE AT LEAST NOT IN A MORE APPROPRIATE MANNER. MS.LANGBURY MAY HAVE TOLD IT HERSELF. EVEN THOUGH SHE IS ,AT THIS TIME IN HER 90S AND STILL AS LOVELY AS EVER AND GRACEFUL. IT IS NOT PROPER ETIQUETTE AND TO SO, BRASHLY ASK HER AGE. APPARENTLY, NEWS REPORTERS AND INTERVIEWERS HAVE NOT BEEN RAISED BY PROPER STANDARDS. MS.LANGSBURY AND MS.BETTY WHITE WILL ALWAYS BE LEGENDS AMONG THE GREAT ACTRESSES. WE L WE LOVE YOU ❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰
