No, he asked them to not keep the gag order restricted to only him. Right now, everyone (including the media) is allowed to publicly say anything they want, and prejudice the jury as they see fit. The ONLY one not being allowed to speak is the defendant. CNN, MSNBC, NPR and other media organizations have not had to "take the stand" to say whatever they want about the trial, including not even bothering to point out that "paying hush money" (also known as an out of court settlement + a non-disclosure agreement) is NOT even a crime. Stormy Daniels was allowed to publish a book about it. Not that anyone who relies on CNN cares about any of that. ALL that matters is that Trump be thrown in jail, because they know Biden has no chance of winning without resorting to jailing his political opponents. And Democrats don't care.
