Incorrect a president is not king, just like General John Hyten says if Trump ordered a nuclear strike they would reject it as it would be illegal and they still need to follow the law. A president is a defender of the constitution and the rule of law so if they transgress against that they can be shut down but usually its the Judicial or Legislative branch that does that part not the military. The fact that the military would have to prevent a preemptive nuclear strike is evidence that the legislative and judicial branches have failed in their responsibilities.

If that was Nazi Germany or the USSR, milley would be executed for treason. I literally saw no point of calling china. It's not even that simple when triggering a nuke (procedures and stuff). Personally, Miley did what was right. He reduced a potential adversary to a friend. Why do Americans always see other countries with powerful military , good economy and a system of governance other than democracy as enemies? Superiority complex? My qualms is why do we have a book out on this? If Miley and his commanders cared so much about global and world security, why grant interviews for such book? Someone on the Biden's press team must have known about this book coming and did nothing to quell it or kick it further down the road. Totalitarian regimes need to expand outwards because of the risk of internal disorder. The biggest threat to communist China is little HK and Taiwan and their democratic values. It's notable that Vindman who is not a Trump fan and is culpable of similar actions although not to the same degree whereas Milley allegedly promised advanced warning of US military actions to its greatest geopolitical foe thinks he should resign if the allegations are true. Fact of the matter is that Milley usurped the chain of command and undermined his superior. If his defense is to claim that Trump was a legitimate threat insofar as waging war on China goes then he should have to provide evidence to support that. Because as it stands it seems to be that he's using his mind reading powers to justify a military coup to usurp the civilian command of our military.
