Well, we did have 81 million voters who came out last November. We need to make sure we all keep coming out, and voting out those elected officials who still support Trump and his lies about the election and the insurrection. We are still in a dangerous place, but there is cause for hope. And there are some in the Republican Party, as well as those who have left the party in protest, who see the danger. This should be one area where liberals and conservatives can come together and be united. What’s disappointing is that there aren’t more Liz Cheneys up on Capitol Hill. (I never thought I would be in such strong agreement with her). Here in Massachusetts, we have a moderate Republican Governor who has never been a Trump supporter. Trump is still relevant because Qanon is still labeled a threat according to homeland security and they have to monitor trumps rhetoric and rallies while being unseated. It’s also important for news coverage like this to keep reiterating about Jan 6th because 6 months later officials who were there and played a role in the big lie are trying to down play it and it’s important for people to remember exactly what happened and why after the GOP declined an investigation into the insurrection. You obviously have never served in any of our military forces. The only group(s), in our military, that can respond to any incident as fast as you think they can, is probably the special forces in each branch of service. Reservists and National Guard are all full time civilians with jobs, families, etc. Activating them takes more than three hours for notification and response. Like it or not, that’s the way it is.

The FBI infiltrated ANTIFA and BLM in the early Summer. The FBI warned both the House and Senate Sgt of Arms on the 4th that the protest was coming into the Capitol. Pelosi turned down the DC Police and National Guard as reinforcements. Bottom line is this was a long planned False Flag Operation that Pelosi allowed to go as planned in order to hinder Trump. ANTIFA were escorted in 4 white busses by Police on the closed DC roads to the parking area adjacent to the Capital. From there the ANTIFA agitators steered the crowd to the Capitol. Several Trump supporters saw what was happening and tried to stop it. Once the crowd turned into a mob the adrenalin took over and the Operation occurred. After the breech the Guard was called for, but they were turned down on the 4th.

The national guard, as I understand, is called upon by the state governments - DC is not a state and any deployments of the guard are at the behest of the Federal Government and deploy from Maryland or Virginia. Governors Hogan and Northam did have troops ready to enter DC on January 6, but they couldn't enter without Federal approval, which was slow in coming. The NG troops already in DC were deployed to aid the Metropolitan Police (not the Capitol Police) with crowd control and traffic because (at the time) that was where it was thought they would be most effective.
