Quoting scriptures by judges in their remarks or judgement inorder to reiterate the just verdict he or she has arrived at, irrespective of the quoted words are from which religion, or author should not be an issue at all. However, with all due respect to our hon judges and courts, when a judge makes a statement in a social/ formal gathering out side the court venues, we expect them to be cautious and clever to eliminate even the remotest possibility of misinterpretation or misunderstanding, especially when the option of expressing an idea in many ways without attracting any eye brow raising is viable. For that matter, it is equally applicable and desirable for all citizens of our country to be cautious and observe propriety in our words.
