As DP stated about 'back in the day'. On that I recall a story related by Bill Coos, who was a CN/Via conductor who wrote a couple of books. He had a passenger, an Englishman say (to the effect) "All these trees are bloody frustrating and should be cut down. They keep blocking the view!" I think if that fellow had seen this video maybe this might have changed his mind. And I so wished a train would have hove into view, even a stack would have been ok. Would have been the perfect video for Dominion Day, showing the majesty of N.O.

Things would have probably been different 20 years ago when the trains were still running. It's amazing how fast the vegetation grows in. I did mess up on the video a bit as I forgot what altitude and camera angle I used when I shot the second piece. I have to make a mental note to remember these things so the video looks more uniform and angle is a bit wider.

Oh for sure if any line was still active the RoW would have, at least, a slightly more manicured look with growth cut way back. Really didn't notice any major issues with an edit. Good music choices too.

Thanks. It wasn't so much an editing issue but rather a cinematography one. I'm a little particular though when it comes to these things.

This stretch must have been a great passenger ride back in the day.

I often wonder about that a lot when I do these explorations. "What did this look like way back when, especially in the early years when it was first built?" Would be neat to be able to go back in time, just to have a look.
