Forest Conservation in Maryland

A bill before the Maryland General Assembly would place more stringent requirements on developers when clearing forest. Environmentalists say these measures are too late, and developers argue that additional regulations would make it almost impossible to meet existing environmental guidelines.

When the government wants more revenue, more taxes, those forest will be gone. I'm local to the area, Eastern Shore, I know that's a fact. Me and my father specialise in Historical Restoration of 19th century homes, a local home and property that had been on a "Conservation Easment" "Forever Protected", has just been recently bulldozed and soon to be a strip mall and hotel.

This act will not protect any of the forest in the region. There will always be someone with enough money to override the fee to develop the area. I'm not stupid
