Yea, I love Bobcats, and I too have only seen them once when hunting ,once. There are beautiful, and I hope I get time to hunt them this year.

Yeah, those passthroughs are so graceful you sometimes don't even think you hit the animal. I can see why she would think she didn't hit it. Good video.

I disagree with leaving it go overnight. She learned that coyotes could get it. So could that Bobcat or any other predator. Then add in scavenger's like crows. Coleman lanterns provide a great light source for tracking at night.

Jim Harter Jim, She didn't leave it overnight because it was dark. The shot was marginal and she did not want to push the animal off of her property. Even on a poor shot, normally a deer will bed down in less than 100 yards. If she would have pushed it that night, it could have ran to the next county if it wasn't dead yet. Yes the coyotes got to just a little, but that deer was recovered and butchered for meat for her family. Just one section of the rear end could not be used.

Ok than wait 2 hours and check. Where there is a lot of predators if you want the deer intact it doesn't pay to leave overnight.

I cannot believe the price of some of these broadheads. NO THANKS. I'll take what I can get at the Walmart, or I'll flatten a spoon out, and put it on the sharpener, and use it. LOL

That was a really poor shot, looked like it went right in the belly. She needs to spend more time practicing with the crossbow that your sponsors gave her to shoot. And first time seeing a bobcat? talk about spending almost no time in the woods.

+Craig M Yes it was a bad shot. But not due to lack of practice or experience. This woman is a very experienced hunter. Sometimes you get excited. Nothing wrong with that. The important thing is she got her deer. Sooner or later a hunter will be faced with a shot such as hers. It's how they react afterwards that will determine their success. She did the right thing by not perusing this deer immediately. As a result, she got her buck.

Such the critic. Has EVERY shot you've fired been perfect? I think not. And for the Bobcat, I have spent every available hour in the woods,swamps , rivers ,fields, mountains and what not. I have yet to actually see my first Bobcat. Perhaps there are not many where she lives either.
