Food grain especially rice or wheat is distributed free for 80 cr people but still food inflation is very high. RBI claim that due high food prices, interest rate kept at high level. It shows the these cereals distribution is just prevent these cereals going waste as buffer stock often end up useless rotten stuff if not consumed! Create buffer stock in other essential inflation inducing stock thereby check their prices. Moreover, income tax payers don’t get paid anything in return in education, healthcare or for their old age. I am articulating income tax payers problem 👍

Heavy Rush So where people are suffering due to GST? So why hue and cry on GST Collection. Next- We want country to be developed. For that how govt will get money. I think only through taxation. Is it possible for country to develop with low rax collection. Why blame govt for GST collection. Please tell if GST amount is siphoned by Govt in to swiss banks etc. Please clarify sir. I want to know from you Sir for my clarity.

Honest reply. I am speaking for you as well. I am not suggesting that the ruling party at the center is diverting the GST collections to personal accounts or sending it to Swiss banks. However, just because the present government have contributed to the digital revolution in India and supported GDP growth, that doesn't mean I shouldn't question the high GST collections or the high direct tax collections. When you combine the direct and indirect taxes, individuals end up paying over 55% of their total income, leaving them with little to spend on essential needs like education and healthcare. The rising cost of healthcare, and the financial strain of caring for the elderly, further complicates the situation. In our country, we also have the cultural obligation of caring for our parents in their old age. Does the government offer support for these responsibilities, particularly to direct taxpayers? While they provide free education, it often comes with poor quality and limited employment opportunities, placing even more burden on individuals and their families. Similarly, as life expectancy increases, little to no assistance is provided for the elderly post-retirement. If every surplus is taken as taxes, how can direct taxpayers sustain themselves? This is a legitimate question. While some argue that higher taxes will lead to better services and elevate the country to developed nation status, i question this assumption. Take the U.S., which collects $1.6 trillion in taxes annually, yet still has 20-30% of its population living in poverty. Why , country with 5 th of India’s population, as Taxes alone will not eradicate poverty. What will? Job creation, self- regulated businesses, less government interference in business, and better governance. Thank you."
