This was needed a long time ago. However, I think things are slightly unfair because the main ones with attitude are the ones who can tumble. So it feels like they are just escaping being cut because of skills alone. Honestly, I would just scrap the whole and re-tryout for team based on skill set, not familiarity or potential, or drop down to level three because half the ones who were supposed to do layouts do like a weird half tuck layout thing.

idk if this is how it works for them but the organization I compete under once you submit your teams roster to compete you have to put a level and you can't change the people or the level unless they were going to end the season altogether right here and cancel future competitions for this season they have to keep these people only and stay level 4

honestly i don't feel bad that coach black called out most of the girls. They need to take accountability for their mistakes. If you want to hit you have to be in the right mindset before you get on stage, the girls need to hype each other up, count, and cheer each other on during the routine because I feel like their was a domino effect and some girls thought "well if this person didn't do their tumble pass I won't do mine" during warmups if a girl see's one of their teammates to something wrong you should tell them right then and there because now they are just going to go on stage doing the same thing.

I don’t like the way Coach Black was talking to London. Half of the team didn’t go full out at competition. London tries her hardest. If y’all notice the girls aren’t hitting their tumbling all the way then fix that. Make them to tumbling exercises, or take them to a tumbling class. Don’t get mad that they didn’t hit their tumbling after they competed. Y’all always wait to address the problems after competing. Not to be harsh but in my opinion Coach Black has the passion for these girls but she doesn’t know how to coach at all. She just piggy backs off of what the girls say. And the other coach I forgot her name, but she’s the most patient person ever. She needs to be noticed more.

I thought maybe she was injured and was waiting for competition to do it so she didn’t further injure herself but I never expected to see her do what she did during the competition!! I’m sure they have to have known that the team wasn’t going to hit going into the competition.

Camiyah should have not been on the mat. She didn’t even finish tumbling or lift her leg up to extension during her part in the pyramid, which Jada did. Because if she was on the mat, Jada should’ve been there with her. She should’ve been questioned like the rest of the little girls sitting down. Like that rubs me the wrong way lol. The one thing about Keri is that even though she gives attitude, she’ll get that stunt up and with some push she’s an amazing tumbler. They can’t be mad at London for not getting her tumbling or back tucks rights because they’ve seen the inconsistencies during practice, but they didn’t take her out of those parts. That’s both coaches fault and not London. And if peoples wrists are hurting or they have injuries they need to be taken out and replaced for that section. It kinda sucks because in old videos with the old team ( Spears, Destiny, Franklin) Messiah used to do good so I’m confused on why she’s so disheartened

I agree on the bad attitude for Camiyah and she should get punish within what’s she doing wrong. But she is the best flyer out the three and hits consistently compared to the others. The other two should just be replaced due to them not hitting the stunt basics as a flyer and struggling to stay up in prep position and falling from a full daily. Also the flyers need to work on their full downs because it looks bad and start doing kick full twists or double downs. But money wasted is on the cheerleaders since they don’t want to perform as needed. If their parents have issues due to them not being apart of the routine, they can look at their practices on KZbin to see how they are.

It’s clear that she lost passion in cheer, maybe it’s the team. Ik messiah in rl, i went to middle school with her and she’s really the sweetest person which is why these comments shock me. Camiyah seems fed up with the team too, honestly she has good skills and back with the old team she wasn’t having bad attitudes.

This is what should be done: -Stretches/Exercises to help the FLYER(flexibility, balance/tightness in the air), BASES(strength, stamina) and BACK-SPOT(control & driving stunts) -Roles for everyone in proper cradle, full down, & kick full twist -Correct hand placement and positions within a stunt (baskets, libs, extensions, arabesque/, scales, needles)

I’m glad Coach Black is having this conversation with the team, although it still seems there are a lot of attitudes within this group of ladies. There is no respect for the coaches nor the other team members who are giving their all each and every practice. The performance that took place recently was not well & this was a result of the lack of work that was put into practice. Even with the conversation being held with the girls in this video, some of the ladies still have no answers for their behavior. Eyes are being rolled, arms shrugged it’s honestly so hard to watch. As coaches I know there’s only so much you can do, but they feel that they can act this way because they’re being allowed to do so. I pray that they get things together and begin to work as a team and show more respect to their coaches. If they want to win this cannot continue. The dynamic of this team needs to change. Wishing you all the best!

I wish I could say this lit a fire under them, but literally 5 minutes after being given a note, they disregard it.. told to stretch, wear shoes, not talk, and take critiques.. they continue to not wear shoes(you don't compete in socks and it's a safety issue.. why is it allowed?), sit around and not stretch, and give attitude when given notes and talk everytime there's no music on.. Literally, the end of this practice looked exactly as when they started :( They've even disregarded a lot of the notes they were given by the TG alumni. They don't listen and they don't care (if they do care, they have an odd way of showing it) Absolutely ridiculous that during multiple full outs one girl repeatedly messed up (which is ok) but then she just sits.. just sits in the middle of the mat wherever she lands.. wtf is going on??

It’s so irritating watching them sometimes they never give 100% they just look like they’re only there cause their parents are making them be cheerleaders. Even the way they walk looks like they’re moving in slow motion. They need to do something to help them work on stamina and strength.

I’m especially glad they are addressing messiah and her all the time attitude, they are all so amazing and she is a big hindrance. I want the coach to take her off the team, but if they do it won’t help her as a person. I feel like they just need to push her extra extra hard on the mat.

I know I said this before, but I think they should put Kaliyah (sorry if spelled it wrong) in the air more. She's got the flexibility, good control, already has some experience due to baskets and she's small. Even though she's a good base, I think she would make such a good flyer. I know they use the smaller girls to make it easier, but Kaliyah isn't even big. She just seems like she'd be the perfect flyer.
@iedit2cool5703 жыл бұрын

The transitions between the stunts, Dances and tumbling is sooooo slow it makes the performance looks half-arsed. I can’t remember how many times my coaches have said walk with purpose, and I get it now. It really does make the performance look that much more energetic. The performance aspect is not there yet, it makes it look like they are marking it. My coaches had a ‘Sass Session’, we literally worked on facial expressions, adding flair (simple things like hand motions and little kicks, hair flicks etc.). Maybe that could be something you could implement in a session. Love from the UK. Edit: Also have the girls watch training and performance videos of other teams like Smoed, CA etc. to see what should be expected of them in training and also how to better their performance skills. They have ALOT of weight on their shoulders being an all Black team, they have all the potential but just need to look internally at how to draw it out.
@WonderfulParody3 жыл бұрын
I also think kerri needs to be off the matt, maybe then the whole team will get it that their position isnt safe/guaranteed. Cause even after all those amazing words you said, constructive and coming from a place that shows you care and want them to do better, their body language and back talk still show attitude. So sad.
@katybooblazin3 жыл бұрын
THIS TEAM IS HORRIBLE and the coaches play apart as well. The coaches are complete push overs and they ALLOW disrespectful behavior. Even with having this conversation, the attitudes were still very strong especially from Carrie. A true coach teaches their team manners and respect. A true coach helps shape noble characteristics into their team. I mean they still look lazy, drag their feet when being told what to do, all while making faces and smacking their lips at their coach who HAS the authority to nip it in the bud. I mean how long is she going to allow this? I would be embarrassed to have a team like them and a daughter like Carrie. They have the potential but choose to not perform, and the coach ALLOWS IT! These soft talks are not going to work. OPEN UP YOUR MOUTH AND PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN. Be the authority that they need in practice. This team is weak and the coaches are even weaker.

I am so glad to see Coach Black have a talk. It was much needed but there are still plenty of improvements to be made. Keri still seems as though she does not want to be there. But I am so grateful that they gave Kenzie her props because she is literally the ONLY one who consistently shows up and gives it her all. She is carrying the team and I hope the other girls take notice and model themselves after her. I do feel as though the coaches need to take a harder approach with the girls. When the Top Gun coaches were there, the attitudes were nipped in the bud immediately. They made the girls do bear crawls for EVERY discretion and the team was punished for individual actions. I think this approach is needed to really see a difference attitude-wise in the girls. I pray this this conversation is the start to the girls turning the season around. ❤️
@samantham26933 жыл бұрын
Sooo we're back to girls sitting around not improving and not being productive. Just like all that time wasted at the beginning when half the team was holding up the wall practice after practice. What was the point of having those girls sit up front? It wasn't like you put your elite athletes on the floor and the other girls could see what it's supposed to look like. All they saw were people fumbling and not going for their skills. Funny you sat them out for messing up but half the girls up there were messing up. That wasn't motivation, it would have just made me mad. They could have spent that time doing drills or something that would help them get the skills they're missing.

Coaches really have a lot of patience because the amount of attitude and disrespect these girls we’re giving when being spoked to about the ATTITUDES is crazy. Clearly to many things gets dusted under the rug and needs to be taken care of like athletes being able to pick and choose when they want to do skills at practice and even if the comp floor is wild . Praying that a light gets lit in them to see it’s not cool going out there like that especially when you have a audience and following.
