This is the best ever ending to a sports movie, hands down. No heroic last minute shot, no awesome last second goal. Just the knowing fact that they gave absolutely everything. It stirs something. It wouldn't have been the same if they'd won. And Samuel L Jackson is the fucking man!

Coach Carter did for those boys what damn near their entire town didn't, He believed in them.
@DonB.-Mulefivefive4 жыл бұрын
All it takes is one person, one firm belief and things can be turned around and the rest, is left to the work people put into it and the faith they have in the people behind and standing along side of them. One person, under any given set of circumstances can make a difference. John Robert Lewis did it, and so can the rest of us...

This is a seriously underrated movie. It doesn’t sugarcoat anything. And it is truly a remarkable, inspiring tale about a gutsy coach who took a stand for a troubled group of young men who in turn got a bright future instead of a dark one. I really recommend those who haven’t seen to watch it. It’s worth every second.

Our soccer team made it to second place in our state decades ago. We played our best and were taught to play with respect and class. We congratulated the team that beat us and felt honored that we made it that far. To this day, it is the only trophy that I keep. It meant so much more than the brass, marble, and plastic that it was made from. This movie hit that spot so well.

Won 1 championship and 1 mvp, also been included in the mythical five team plus bonus from being 2nd place in badminton so another medal for that. Although I tried at college but it didn't worked so I focused on studying instead then graduated then covid came. Still, It's a good life 🥺

What coach Carter teach are actually similar experiences to Shaq and Ray Allen who grew up with military dads which instilled in them a sense of respect and responsibilities. Coach Carter is trying to get them to see that their athletic gifts is not gonna guarantee them a good future but education will, in fact even if irl they made it to NBA, there's still life after retirement and their character is the one that can guarantee them a better life out of the project
