The B10M Volvo's are great, they don't make em like they used to. It has the engine in the middle and lovely to drive... very smooth. The down side is definitely the poor lock on the steering. And stop giving the driver stick because overall in this video you can see he has excellent safe driving bought about by years of hard work

No use of mirrors, little use of handbrake when stationary and not once does he have 2 hands on the wheel.....

most coach drivers like myself drive with one hand and as for the handbrake we dont always need to use it

Remember the steering wheel is massive, it’s an auto so no problem with resting on the brake pedal at short stops. If you keep going on and off with the handbrake you’ll just run out of air pressure and won’t be able to move 😂

@@johnb8956 You won't run out of air pressure and if you do that vehicle should not be on the road as the compressor is clearly faulty this is something that should be spotted on a first use check.

This interested me as, up to four years ago, I lived very close to Cleethorpes - a name I saw come up. I couldn't quite work where we were on this journey. The driver makes operating this vehicle look easier than driving my car. Bryan

paul cowen yeah great for a week or two. Best thing is to try and get into management then you don’t have to drive as much, pay is better but you still get to go out every now and then.

First of all, I thought this was supposed to be about the coach, not the road in front. What the hell does the coach look like? Secondly, the driver needs to be reported to the D.S.A. One handed driving is totally u acceptable.

Bad driving you must operate the steering wheel using two hand and not checking mirrors l was a coach driver for 28 years 😢

After 25yrs of teaching PCV, I think this is the worst demonstration of driving I have witnessed. No or very poor mirror checks, no tailswing checks, no offside mirror checks, no mirror check after passing children on the pavement. One hand on the wheel for no reason. no seatbelt although these coaches were fitted with a lap belt. Get death off the road,

And your working hours are restricted by law so no expected and unpaid overtime. You even get (tax free) tips if you're nice to your passengers. Career change in sight?

***** That's known as 'out of scope' work, governed by Domestic Driver's Hours rules. Most service bus drivers (Stagecoach/Arriva/First) fall under this category, as do school runs. You can't work unlimited hours, but you can certainly drive a bit longer without breaks. If you do a private hire, you are considered to be 'in scope', that means you must follow EC Driver's Hour's rules (EU law) for that entire week, and provide a tachograph for every working day.

To simplify an EU/Domestic regulation. Imagine you are standing in a garden with a big circular boundary around it. And this circular boundary has been fenced off as a giant ring fence right around where you are standing. If you stand in the middle of this ring fence it is an exact 50KM distance to any edge/perimeter of this fence. Inside the ring fence you are allowed to walk upto 5.5 hours, after 5.5 hours you MUST have a rest from walking for 35 minutes, then after 35 minutes rest you are allowed to walk for 4.5 hours before you MUST lay down and sleep. But... If you choose to walk outside of the ring fenced area and into the unknown. You can only walk into the unknown for 4.5 hours, and after 4.5 hours of walking you MUST take a break from walking for at least 45 minutes, after 45 minutes of taking a break you can walk for 4.5 hours longer before you MUST lay down and sleep. Inside the Ring fence: Domestic driving hours. Outside the fence into the unknown: EU driving hours. Walking refers to driving time. This comment is from a PCV licenced Coach driver. I hope this helps.

@@fergy1ful can work 15 hours in one day if you are the only driver, 21 hours if theres two drivers on the coach and as for tips they arent tax free ( only if you decalre them which alot of us coach drivers dont ) hmrc expect coach drivers to pay tax on tips and sometimes calculate how much tips you get and increase tax on wages
