The kid that got his hair cut was clearly mixed not black. Mixed people are a combination both black and white, not exclusively black. You get 50% of your genes and ancestors from either parents. @@devgurera a coach can never tell a kid what to do with his hair in the USA. It's not in the rule book. If hair is long the can wear a cap. Just like female wrestlers do. Trust I know. Read the rule book many times. IHSA is not in there. And when this made the headline, it was the ref that said it. And now that ref is no longer around. Lost $30 per hour. And most of these wrestling tournaments go for up to 8 hours.

@Madison Mercer I was a wrestler in high school. And there we're times when guys got their hair cut impromptu with medical scissors. Its a safety issue. Yes it can be viewed as discriminatory. No I dont think the haircut was needed. Their was a case like this not to long ago in the news. A referee would not let wrestler on the mat unless he cut his hair. Hair was cut. Wrestler won. Referee was suspended. I'm sorry the lady had to experience that trauma because this show is only about sensationalism.
