Jamaica needs at least three 100% Soccer only playing field. National Stadium looks like a cow pasture. Jamaica needs soccer stadiums with no running tracks. Jamaica has enough running tracks. They need a Stadium in Kingston one in Clarendon/Manchester and another for Montego Bay Jamaica needs to spread Soccer it cannot just be in Kingston.

That was one of Simones greatest problem. I was amazed at the poor level of football being played at the Parish and National league .The Government must make a massive financial input in football development and to help the social fabric of communities.

Agree with you for the most part. The problem with the fields has been recognised over decades as you say... but it should teach our commentators and officials that it is not enough to mention problems occasionally when we remember them. If we build a comprehensive plan for football development... the plan will obviously indicate what is needed when. But we do not think in logically sequential activities... if we did we would see clearly what is missing at any given time and build the support to insist that the critical steps be tracked sequentially

Golf course membership is at a cost. They also sell items, food, liquor, host events etc. These football clubs don't generate money on that level for top tier maintenance.

The reason why they're able to supply these immaculate golf courses is because of the caliber of people that plays and support golf is far different from the people that play and support football. Football is poor people sport and golf and polo are for the rich and upper class, plus most golf courses are privately owned and cared for and football arenas are primarily owned and supported by the government and once the government gets involved we all know what happens. ( The monies that are supposed to be used to upkeep poor people arenas get stolen , misplaced or can't be allocated and poor people get screwed as usual ). The sad thing is that even after poor people get over and around all those obstacles these bastards try to take credit for their success

Over the last 6 years there has been more mini Turf surfaces in Jamaica I guess that's what they where talking about. plus the Golf course reference is not as accurate because playing on a football field is more damaging to the surface than golf and the JPL Clubs don't have training grounds different from their match field

@@ronbaba6258 Build brand new Football Stadiums. Jamaica needs at least three across the country. Everything should not be in Kingston only, this way Jamaicans and the players get an opportunity to travel to different parts of the country. The players will be able to set up training camp in each Jamaican County Cornwall, Middlesex or Surrey and fans can go to see them practice. Each facility built to international standards, with up to date equipment, well lit and powered by mostly Solar energy. I say this and Oral Tracy will address it at some point. National Stadium should be track and Field only plus there was an issue of the JFF not being able to pay the light bill from JPS. In Jamaica the best workout times are early morning or dusk/night because it's cooler. Coaching staff and players shouldn't have to worry about damn JPS expensive bills. Go solar and drop JPS...

The clubs need to understand that the game is a business, they need to step up their approach,put in place professionals at all levels of the clubs structure, build the club. A long time this topic has been on the table, but subsequent JFF administrations had neither the will nor conviction to fix the issue. Dem jus patch up a ting and give the players to work wid, and this is preventing some of our players from reaching higher heights in the sports...Ricketts and his administration can do the right thing by fixing the surfaces and leave this as an accomplishment, because Dem ave very little to boast about up to this point.
