The QB should not be allowed to run if nobody is allowed to tackle him. Jason Brown is correct about Mahomes. QBs will "fake" slide, the defender will stop and the QB keeps running. It's not football.

Bro, he was trolling lol. JB and Whitlock have openly stated they are trolling because they don't like them. I like deion and Colorado and I support them heavy. But I have loved both their shows before deion got to colorado.i honestly love hearing them hate on them. They aren't like fake media who will claim to be unbiased and then obviously show insane levels of bias. JB openly said I don't care who they play, I will pick against them because I want them to lose. He's been asked "do you really think ___ team can even compete/beat Colorado?" And straight up said no but I'm picking them anyway lmao. That's the realest shit ever bro. If you're gonna hate on em then hate on em, just don't lie and make up bullshit or go to stats to skew the truth and act like you really think a team or player is better than you honestly believe. I think being a hater is lame and immature. But I'd be lying if I said I don't got teams and players I hate on. And I'll list em just like they will. Who cares? Shits entertainment. It's not serious or personal. Sometimes you just meet someone or watch something of them for 1 min and judge them. So what? Prove me wrong.everyones gonna have a different view and I don't agree with them at all on Colorado.... But it's funny as hell to hear real sports people unapologetically talk shit and hate on mfs. Cuz in reality, all athletes do it to a certain level and there doesn't have to be a reason. When you can't play anymore, you still gotta hate on someone. Don't gotta be the rival school. Hate on a celebrity or athlete, make it fun and funny and make your bread. Their hater will love you, and even some of their fans like me will as well. I love listening to people hate on people I like.... As long as it's done in the right way not on some fake I'm neutral but blah blah hate hate lie hate make up shit to justify the bullshit with a straight face. Just say you don't like the mf and I'm cool with it lol. But I played sports in military school and public school so maybe my view is just naturally gonna be skewed to that kind of way 😅. Long as hell, I'm lit😂

I can be against the softening of football and still think the hit was bullshit. These two things are possible at the same time. The slide rule has been out since 1985, the oldest player Aaron Rodgers was two years old. Every defender has been aware of this the entirety of their football career, nothing was taken from them. Blaming this on Lawrence is petty and ridiculous. Who signed up for this? It was illegal when ALL of them signed up.

So what happens when the defensive player tears Achilles tendon. I would like for you to look at the video of Rod Woodson trying to tackle Barry Sanders. The defensive players are now at a disadvantage because these quarterbacks do take an extra step now because they can't get hit. But you want the defensive player to be able to stop on a dime so they don't hurt the offensive player make it make sense

Love your home about Kamala but if you watch & freeze the play, you might see what I believe is a defender already coiled to throw a hit on a bigger player. He was initially going to be hitting him in the thighs. The timing is close. Teddy Bridgewater got knocked out in a similar hit in, I think 2016 in a game against the Rams by a player he knew since high school. These guys don't want to get fined and pull up a lot. It's a game of split seconds so occasionally there will be miscalculations, especially by players who are smaller than the QBs. But I still liked your Kamala joke. Enjoy the rest of the season. 👍

THE coach JB
@zroy9263
@zroy9263 Күн бұрын
This coach Brown is 💯 percent correct in every way about how the sport should be played! Society needs more masculine and brave men to protect what used to be a bastion of masculinity and bravery! As a fan of the game since 1975, I haven't been able to watch football for the past 10 years because it has been watered down, softened, and sissified to the point that it has become a shitty product! I believe that women will be coaching the sport someday and that the league will be reduced to flag football and ultimately co-ed for politically correct reasons! Watching defensive players being fined for hitting in PRO FOOTBALL, QBs like Josh Allen running over defenders like fucking Earl Campbell, cautious tackling, shoving rather than hitting, and players wearing padding over a fiberglass helmet makes me want to fucking vomit! The NFL has become WOKE to match our soft era!

@zroy9263
@zroy9263 3 сағат бұрын
@MarkyGarvey I've been a football fan since 1975! A lot of those guys were and still are my childhood heroes today because they taught me about teamwork, unity, love, fearlessness, courage, tenacity, masculinity, meanness, sacrifice, style, discipline, confidence, and dedication! I still have my Topps football card collection from the 1970s through the 1980s. Football is a brutal and collision sport by nature! Similar to boxing. Both sports are about outthinking, outmaneuvering, and using finesse to defeat your opponents. However, there's a dark side to both sports. The other side of the game is to physically intimidate your opponents with brutal and barbaric physicality! To the point of separating them from their senses or destroying them psychologically! It's about being physically dominant. And it's the hurt business! However, ALL rules need to be followed! It's not about playing dirty. It's not about crippling or maiming. It's a gentleman's sport. Both boxing and football! The physicality of the NFL from the 1960s through the 1990s is the only reason why the NFL is a multi-billion dollar industry today period! And the players that you're claiming to be your heroes sacrificed their hearts, minds, bodies, and souls for VERY LITTLE CASH 💸 to make this all possible today! Football used to be a gladiator sport! It was like being in the Marines, Green Berets, or Navy Seals. Today, WOKE ISM has changed this by the feminization of men in Western society! Feminism is also in effect. Why are there female coaches and referees?! What's the point? Are they better than qualified and experienced men? Should they also play in the NFL? If you continue to soften the game they will be capable of playing in a sorry, less competitive, woke, and watered-down version of the game! That's where we are headed! Regarding players with CTE, that's unfortunate! However, these athletes are grown men and world-class athletes who are making millions of dollars! They signed contracts. Football isn't for everyone. No one asks you to play! The NFL will thrive regardless! Players sacrifice a lot to be in the league. Concussions and injuries are a by-product of the game! The fact of the matter is that there are plenty of retired NFL players who are healthy, still living, and prosperous after playing in the most brutal and violent era of our lifetime. Men like Roger Staubach, Troy Aikman, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Joe Montana, Ozzie Newsome, Lawrence Taylor, Cris Collinsworth, Drew Pearson, Alan Page, Lynn Swann, and Joe Green are not crippled individuals with CTE. It was the NFL who put these dedicated warriors out on the street! That was the primary reason for this CTE problem. Cole miners, construction workers, steel mill workers, cops, firefighters, and military soldiers also have tragedies in their chosen professions. I support better and more protective equipment, better health insurance, great retirement plans, guided financial planning, and guaranteed contracts. But what I DON'T SUPPORT IS RUINING THE DAMN SPORT! I strongly believe that in ten or twenty years, the NFL will convert into flag football and become co-ed for politically correct reasons! The PRO BOWL is flag football today and it is being played in the Olympics. The NFL is also spending a lot of time and money promoting it as well. Players are less likely to get hurt at all if it's flag football! Would that make you happy?

There is no way you think that is a dirty hit if you are old school. This is a standard football play if you watched 90s and early 00s football. Slot receivers were amazing because going over the middle was so dangerous and the would be cut in half. That is how Chris Carter made it to the hall of fame. The reason the rules changed is because Payton Manning kept destroying people's careers by lob passing over the centre and couldn't win any games. And Tom Brady blew out his knee and they saw a drop off of revenue.

STOP PROTECTING QBs. Actually all the blame for softening the rules on hitting the QB was Tom Brady. Peyton Manning bitched to the league that his small WRs were getting held too long off of the line of scrimage and therefore it fked up his ability to win because they weren't getting enough separation. People worship the Manning vs Brady rivalry. It's the rivalry that killed defenses. Peyton gets hit, he cries. Brady gets hit, he cries. This will all correct itself once the league allows defenses to play defense again. And Trevor shouldn't run out of the pocket. I played linebacker and if the QBs were running as much as they today, as they did when I played pop warner, I would have hit them as hard as I could. It's disrespectful to the defense if you think you can run on us like it's backyard football. Trevor needed a reminder of that.

The rule shouldn't be in place, and if it wasn't, Lawrence wouldn't have done that. But he shouldn't have been at risk, if the defender plays within the rules. The defender should be fined, and if he has a history of doing this, he may be worthy of a short suspension.

Coach JB doesn’t realize how much better he is on your show, than on his where he dilutes his messages with some kind of expletive constantly, and plays more of a homeboy gangster persona, which is entirely distracting in my opinion compared to what he does here. If he would just let his words take effect like he does here, without diluting them with all that profanity etc., which comes off as weak and distracting, he would probably get millions of followers and a coaching job if he wanted one pretty much immediately.

@dang75790 Great point! I have said he definitely owes A. Reid a small chunk of his salary. Montana and Steve Young had Bill Walsh. Dan Fouts had Don Coryell's offensive schemes. Troy Aikman had a great coach Jimmy Johnson. Tom Brady had... well Tom Brady! Bill Walsh got his "west coast" offense from Paul Brown. Yes Walsh added his wrinkles and adjustments. But truth is that "west coast offense" was created on the Berea Ohio Football practice facility back in the 1950's. Point is that every great QB has a great coach that helps facilitate and hone his skill-set.

...and as long as the QB is 'protected' you can't let these psychopath criminals; you call athletes, try to permanently disable other participants in the game. Admit it - football is a game for criminally insane thugs that you unleash to legally cause permanent damage to other human beings. Put $$$$ in the face of criminals and guess what you get ... Beyond that, you have a greedy administration of a league whose only interest in the health of the players is how long their investment will continue to generate a profit..

Not to say that he couldn't have avoided the hit, but these quarterbacks have so much freedom if they don't want to get hit then don't leave the pockets. These quarterbacks know they won't get hit that's why they try to get as many yards as possible.

Lol listening to jb on his show i disagreed with him 100%. The shot was clearly dirty under the rules, and although it was a close slide,the defender made no effort to avoid him, jump, roll,put his hands up, slow down, or anything. Trev is clearly in sliding motionas he is commiting further to going 100% elbow out tackle. The fake slide is already banned, so if he avoids, and trev does it Trev gets flagged and looks stupid. Not him. At least im pretty sure i heard that rule was made a year after that pitt dude did it. its been out the game for years in my eyes. But he did make a much better argument for banning the slide here than he did on his channel. What he said is brutal, but its honest. Trevor slid and didnt even put one hand up over his face. You cant see a hit coming, have one hand on the ball, and use your other hand to brace yourself. Thats idiotic as a human being but its normalized because they are trained to feel safe when sliding so they lit one hand on the ground, one hand on the ball, and expect the ref to prtect them from a dirty hit. the rule itself put them in much more danger. inageee with banning it because smaller qbs will have to be much smarter ajd out themselves in less danger. thats better for them. I love running qbs. I'm an eagles fan, and have rarely seen Jalen hurts in these situations. He runs a lot but When he runs at someone he doesn't slide like this leave himself open. 80% he runs like a running back and uses his oower and speed, and 20% he will slide and protect himself and the ball. at least thats the feeling i get. Dudes like him will still be able to run without a strict slide rule, but kyler cant. And i get it. I don't mind that, it may be less but he isn't scared of cintact... But trevor is bigger than him, he wasthe prototype everyone spoke sochighly of. Hes bigger than lost defnders. He need to run like cam newton, or stay in the pocket. Him sliding like that is dumb and should be taken out the game. I get it now, although i never thought of it til he really spit facts lol. Thats why you listen to people that you dont agree with and hear them out. Took me the second rime hearing his argument to get where hes coming from... Still under these rules a dirty hit and he should be punished. But i also agree the rule should be taken out so this doesnt happen again. You cant leave yourself vulnerable and just pray you dont get hit by a dirty or mistimed hit. Mfs get taken out on clean hits every week. I want to see qbs run, but not put themselves in horrible positins. You gotta get down early and get tapped on contact, put your shoulder down and fight the tackle, protect yourself at all times, and never leave yourself at the mercy of faith jn rules. Shadeur almost got him knees snapped on a dirty play and noone cared, and he wasnt doing anything reckless. You cant trust the team that wants to kill you. The ref aint even gonna flag it if they dont like you. What does 15 yards matter if i killed your qb in the first quarter? A lot of coaches will just put in the next man and congratulate the dirty player for winning the game lol they dont care about fines if theyre dirty players. The saint were oayong them way more than the fine cost for their guys to hurt people. Its dumb to think no one out there isnt just gonna hurt you to hurt you. Gotta make them protect themselves.
