All this is great advice. For dating. Maybe even marriage. Married with kids? I’d like some help with that. My wife’s current behavior (lost 90lbs super hot) I wouldn’t tolerate. But our young boys are affected by it. Constantly going out with her girlfriends. I’ve fucked up, got emotional & really over reacted 3 times in the past 3 months. However, some of that hurt came from them. I’m here typing this on the Eve , well now it’s early morning, of our youngest’s birthday. Before he went to bed he said “ is mom really not gonna be here on my birthday?” It hurts man. Kids are innocent. She’s talked down to me. Told me she wasn’t “in love with me”, even talked to an attorney about a possible separation in house. When her attorney said it wasn’t possible she didn’t go through with it and told her she’d follow up by the end of January. I realize if she really, 100% wanted it over it would’ve happened. I’ve done well lately of not texting or calling first and not answering right away when she does. I took a job that gave me a 35k pay increase (she still makes more, I should’ve never let that happen) and it seemed to spark some additional interest. She comes to me, if I play coy and go upstairs. We’ve had some pretty intense sex as well. Some emotional connections feel very earnest while others seem a bit forced or fake. She thinks I’m “turning the kids against her” but it isn’t me. It’s her actions and she refuses to hold herself accountable. The one power she holds, man it’s a big one, she knows I want walk away from my kids and the family they want. My kids live in fear, everyday that their family is going to end. Regardless of the dynamic. They know if it ends there are higher odds that the system will give them more time with the parent that ignores them than the parent that’s here while she gets shit faced. Any advice anyone has would be appreciated.

One thing I half disagree with Corey Wayne on, is if they are 'going out of town' for a week/weekends time and not communicating with you much at all...yes, you don't need to get mad, but that's just not a great recipe for success imo. This is bad advice. Out of context. Just read the book 10-15 times. If your girlfriend says “I love you” and you actually love her. Then you should say “I love you too” I guarantee you’ll never maintain a relationship with that attitude. Women want your attention and love. Bro, I just got out of a situation like this. The question what is the source of why we act like that? I grew up with a strong mother in a single parent home mostly. Even to this day if I pick up the phone my Mom is right there, no matter what. Why, when you don't care for a woman, is seen as strength?
