To you guys out there: We women (women in general - there will always exceptions, so let's not drown in the semantics game) really do stay until the feelings are too far gone. As a result, the change from "incompetent" or "beta" behavior on the part of the man needs to be obvious and consistently maintained for the woman to believe the change is legit and to not throw up their hands in exacerbation and walk away, cutting her losses. You have to rebuild that attraction for her, and she's having to start over from a place of very low tolerance for the undesirable behavior. Please keep your focus on the endgame and stay the course with the "appropriate" behavior if you really do love her, otherwise you will both have something to regret down the road. If the "appropriate" behavior is not working on her, then she's totally gone or was never really yours, but at least you know and will live without "what ifs" haunting you. Good luck out there in the wild, gentlemen!

Completely agree with what you say. Ive lost 1 or 2 cool women whom ive loved spending time with because i started letting the immature behavior slip in here and there. As a man, this is one of the toughest lections to learn when it comes to dating and partners, but it is a highly necessary one. Although the margin of error has definitely gotten MUCH smaller in todays age of social media and everyone talking/dating with 5+ people at the same time. So i definitely have sympathy for the younger men in here.

Nah I’ll pass on the ex part. She is gone for good reason. I thought I had it rough, she had three kids from two different guys, relies on the state for assistance, rides a secondhand bike around instead of you know buying a car like most of us do. And she is 43, her way of acting is akin to an 18 year old. I remember on June 12th 2023 I discharged my father from the hospital, paid a lot of cash for his meds, drove him home, got him up a long flight of stairs. And who called? She did. And what for? She claimed she was $30 short of her phone plan. She didn’t call to wonder how my father was. She didn’t call to wonder even how I was. She called me at a time when she should have known she was the last person I wanted to talk with at midnight. And I didn’t wanna get angry or anything. But needless to say I never thought of her the same after that. Toward the end i expressed that I didn’t even come second to last place next to her social media addiction and that I was not to be treated like an ATM/doormat. What did she do? She said, “Im sorry that you feel that way”. She wasn’t saying, “im sorry that I MADE you feel that way.” Between those things, her clinginess, NEVER using phones strictly for setting plans, I just said I’m done. Moving on. And believe me when I say I’m going to properly vet these potential partners under a microscope. Also, believe me when I say there’s a LOT i could say about her that would destroy her credibility and reputation but I refuse to stoop to such a level. The whole excuse “it’s gonna be 6-12 months to get on my feet”. Yeah. Whatever. She still doesn’t have a car, she is piss-broke, burns bridges around her including her own family over stupid politics. I don’t wanna to hear about her drama. She should get off the TikTok BS and move on with her life. Instead of crying “oh poorest me, it’s the men’s’ fault that I have nothing”…
