Keeping the eyes level to the ground really helped me, I scored 3 Sixes against a regular bowler and a 4 in front of me against a fast spinner, you guys keep doing these videos, keep it up man!

@@rishabhnegi8013 when the ball is coming close to you look down not up. Make sure your head is strong (as in firm and not moving, unless advancing, but keep it steady when advancing) and not tilted.

@@rishabhnegi8013 ill be honest with you, before the ball is released my vision is like a blur. I dont really care what the bowler is doing unless spinner. I start seeing the ball 1/4 down the pitch, if i can pick the short one early instant 4. Just watch the watching the action part of the video that is already included in this video, keep your eyes down, not still looking roughly at the bowler when hitting.

Baseball player here. Played all the way through college guy trying to get the rules of cricket down. What happens if the “pitcher” bowls it and it’s going toward the gate but the batter is hit on the shin? Can they like block it or is it the same as a HBP in baseball? Serious question. I’ve seen some guys bowl with crazy spin like a bouncing curveball so I’m wondering what happens. Thanks

Hey there Trey, in cricket you there's the LBW rule. So if you get hit on any part of your body and the ball would've gone on to hit the wickets, you are considered out. That is obviously a gross over simplification of the rule. If the ball isnt going to hit the stump then nothing happens as a result, you simply got hit by the ball. Hope this helps

Hey coach I wanted to ask you how we can judge the bounce better, most of the time when im facing fast bowlers, they would ball a short ball and I will rock on my back foot, and then the ball will stay low enough to miss my bat and hit my pads.

Unfortunately its more judging length, and its entirely pitch dependent. So if its a low and slow pitch you can just look to hang more on the front foot in general. You cant do much when its inconsistent bounce, so don't worry about that.
